Meet the kitties at Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium and bake some popcorn cupcakes with Cat from Cat Food.

How did you get started?

In October 2012 I had a bad day at work and a street kitty gave me a cuddle on the way home. It cheered me up so much, and I thought of how lovely it would be to have a Cat Cafe in London (I knew of them from a visit to Japan in 2009). I went home and wrote a business plan!

Where are you located?

East London, about a 5 minute walk from Shoreditch High Street Sttion

What are your specialities?

Cats, Coffee, Cakes and Tea!

What's your personal favorite thing on the menu?

I really love our Red Velvet. We have to keep it chilled for Health and Safety, but when I have some myself, I let it go to room temperature and its even better!

What's on the stereo?

A mix of chill out tunes. We used to have the soundtracks from various Studio Ghibli films playing in the background, but the theatricality of it weirded people out, so we toned it down!

Where else should we visit in your area?

Brick Lane Coffee make great coffee and we often had lunch in Tas Firin while we were building the shop - great Turkish food there. Falafelicious is a favourite with the team, too, in Box Park.

I'm also excited to try some of the new restaurants opening up. There's a new place called Tapas Revolution that smells delicious every time I walk past.

Do you host any special events?

We have Cat Yoga every second Wednesday from 6:30pm and also from 7:45pm. We also host Pet First Aid courses every few months, which are CPD certified.

We will be adding more fun activities to our line up in 2015, so follow us on social media to keep up!

Is there anything else you'd like us to know?

We have the sweetest, most wonderful cats in the world. We love them!
