Tell us about your space

Our craft room has so many functions. We homeschool, blog, and play in it every single day. The kids love to eat lunch and sometimes dinner out here as well. I love that we have the luxury of playing with paint and glitter out here. I would never let them paint in the main house! This space fosters our creativity and allows the kids' imaginations to go wild.

What have you done to make your space cosy, beautiful or inspiring?

I painted the walls white to allow all of our brightly colored supplies and projects stand out. We move things around all the time and are still figuring out how to utilize the space in an even better way.

How do you keep organized?

I'm a bit of a slob so we've designed everything to have it's own place. There are a lot of cabinets and cubbies to tuck all of our stuff into and keep it out of sight.

Any tips & tricks for organising supplies?

Decanter everything. It's so much easier to find little pom poms and things when they're in glass jars. We save all of our jam and pickle jars for our space.

Which are your favourite possessions and are there any of your own creations on display?

My favorite things are all of the odd purchases I've made simply because I found them beautiful at the time. I love to maintain an eclectic collection of supplies to make from.

How do you organise your inspiration and ideas?

I write all of my ideas on post its or directly into my calendar. When it's time to plan out my editorial calendar I transfer the notes to my white board calendar.

Where do you look for inspiration?

I look at my supplies and work with what I already have. I'll only make something if I have a particular need for it.

If you had three wishes, what would you do to make it the dream space?

I would attach it to my main house. Walking in the cold stinks. Adding a full kitchen would be amazing so I could create all of my food posts out here. The only other thing I can think of is refinishing my big table. I think we might paint the top white in the spring.
