We head to Madrid to explore Ishtar Olivera's arty craft room.

What I love about it are the two big windows that let so much light in : )

Tell us about your space

My craft room used to be the dinning room, but since the living room is big enough to set the dining table I kept the other space. Its separated from the kitchen but next to it on the first floor.I share the space with my two kids who sometimes like to join me and do their homework or do crafts by my side. It is also my office. I have a big table with the computer and its also where i do my crafts, like stamp carving (my favorite)

What have you done to make your space cosy, beautiful or inspiring?

Besides buying some new furniture, the most important thing is what you dress the walls with..artwork,inspiring images...and all the things that make it inspiring to you, like craft books, washi tapes and small decoration items.

How do you keep organized?

I´m very messy actually! But I always say a messy table means one has been creating..: ) so its a good sign!I like to tidy up afterwards of course! set the table ready for new crafty things to try!

Any tips & tricks for organising supplies?

I keep my paper crafts and supplies in Ikea craft cardboard boxes, and few drawers and my fabric in a huge picnic basket. I love to keep the small things in a white metal drawer from Ikea.It keeps the inks, paper punches and watercolors tidy and at hand

Which are your favourite possessions and are there any of your own creations on display?

My washi tape box where I store all of it and the handmade gifts friends I love and admire have sent me and I have bought. Like my little embroidery hoop with a wool cloud by my friend Katrien, or my aceo cards by Malland my babette doll by Le train fantome. Some of my illustrations are on display, some clay dolls, and also s few tea pot holders I sewed some time ago.

How do you organise your inspiration and ideas?

Mostly online on pinterest or on folders on my computer.

Where do you look for inspiration?

Pinterest of course! and my craft books, especially the Japanese ones : )

If you had three wishes, what would you do to make it the dream space?

Remove the carpet and put wooden floors
Paint the walls a different color
Buy new furniture
