Come behind the scenes at Design Fixation and tour Faith's craft space in her home office in Reading, Massachusetts.

That it exists! Up until two months ago, I was living in a tiny one bedroom condo with my boyfriend and dog so all of my work was done either on the kitchen table or on the couch in the living room. But then we bought a house so now I have an entire room all to myself!

Tell us about your space

I use my craft space for all work and craft related activities. It is still a work in progress since we just moved in fairly recently, but it's wonderful to be able to spread out in a room that's devoted solely to my creative projects. It is about 8x10 feet and has a closet where I store my sewing machine and all of my other crafting supplies (except for my fabric which lives in the basement because there's SO MUCH of it).

What have you done to make your space cosy, beautiful or inspiring?

Since I'm the only person using the room, I decided to go somewhat girly with the decor. I'm filling it with lots of gold and some pops of pink. A well-designed room is inspiring to me, so that's an important element. And I love to have plants and flowers around me all the time.

How do you keep organized?

I've been stocking up on boxes, bins and other containers to separate all of my different materials and I also made wooden shelves in the closet so I could use the space more efficiently.

Any tips & tricks for organising supplies?

I use a shoe organizer to keep my sewing supplies (somewhat) in order, and I hang it on the back of the door so it's not visible most of time.

Which are your favourite possessions and are there any of your own creations on display?

I have a pair of vintage chinese scissors that I love to use every now and again. And yes, I did make quite a few of the things on display in my office - my favorite being the "Bloggers Gonna Blog" painting which I sell as a print in my Etsy shop. It just makes me happy every time I look at it.

How do you organise your inspiration and ideas?

Pinterest is my main source of inspiration, and it's how I organize my inspiration too. I have 23 secret boards! I fill them with project ideas, blog brainstorming, moodboards and future DIYs that I'd like to do just for fun.

Where do you look for inspiration?

Pinterest :) I also like to read HGTV magazine which has all kinds of fun inspiration.

If you had three wishes, what would you do to make it the dream space?

I would love to have built-ins installed with another work surface on top, an additional window put in, and a separate little area to get messy with paint!
