Hi! I'm Julia and I'm a Canadian freelance illustrator. My work's been published in the New Yorker, BusinessWeek, the National Post, Maclean's, and the Village Voice, among others. I love drawing people and food and coming up with colour palettes for my illustrations. I'm a night owl and I like soccer.
We're experimenting with El Buho Mezcal tequila for this week's #CocktailHour and mixing up a classic Margarita, Tequila Moonrise and delicious white chocolate Tequila Truffles.
The best thing about living in Victoria is the laid back vibe. Being the Capitol city of BC, there is a enough infrastructure to support the amenities of living in a bigger centre, but being on an island makes it more isolated and makes it feel like a small town. Any time I hang out downtown, I run into people I know around almost every corner. Its a naturally beautiful place surrounded by ocean, and there is a thriving art community. There is so much to enjoy!
