We head to the super trendy coffee shop, Timberyard in London this week to learn how-to make Cold Brew coffee and a Virtuous Chocolate Cake.

How did you get started?

We opened Timberyard Old Street in December 2012 following our 6 month ‘Grand Tour’ of the speciality coffee scene in London – exhausting!

Where are you located?

We currently have two shops but have a rollout plan for a further three, five in total, in the next three years. Addresses for both locations are below:

· Timberyard Old Street

61-67 Old Street

London EC1V 9HW

· Timberyard Seven Dials

7 Upper St Martin’s Lane

London WC2H 9DL

What are your specialities?

Chemex drip brew coffee

Cold brew teas and coffees

Free wifi and dedicated workspace

What's your personal favorite thing on the menu?

I can’t decide between our classic Croque Monsieur made with Wiltshire ham, gruyere cheese and a creamy béchamel sauce on toasted sourdough, or our AMAZING peanut butter and chilli jam sandwich.

What's on the stereo?

We use Spotify so love to play the broadest selection of music style and genres.

‘Back To Black’/Amy Winehouse has just finished, now playing ‘If The Stars Were Mine’/Melody Gardot

Where else should we visit in your area?

Salvation Jane near Old Street and Hawksmoor in Seven Dials

Do you host any special events?

Yes lots! We host a regular meet-up for entrepreneurs called the ‘Interesting Business Club’ and the ‘London Social Media Café’ at Old Street, a hugely attended networking event for people who work in or with social media that is held every two months. As part of the Seven Dials community we take part in seasonal street festivals (the next one is being held Aug 16) along with our neighbouring businesses and host quarterly private views at each location for our changing art shows.

Is there anything else you'd like us to know?

Obviously as a co-working space we are a great venue for meet-ups, private views and networking events so do always consider us for private hire.
