I'm lolle (Lorenza) and I'm a freelance illustrator and artist based in Italy. I have been drawing since I was 5 years old. I always loved to draw, to paint, to create objects, plush and clothes and I can't imagine my life without pencils, markers, brushes, acrylics...
I use my illustrations to describe my world, a messy and pinky world populated by furry monsters, bizarre plushies, spooky dolls, cats, stylish babes, cosmic mermaids, pastel unicorns, colorful toys, ghost stories, flying bats, fairytales, striking clothes, pop culture, candies, cakes, dreamlike movies, fantasy books, and more...

Have you always been creative and artistic?

^_^ well, in my family there's always been something creative… my parents had an handicraft shop for a while, and they both have always loved to draw…my father attended the art school before me, and he keeps to "make art" even now.

also, other members of my family have an artistic flair, like my grandmother, my two aunts and my sister…My born house is full of their canvas…I've grown in this creative and artistic atmosphere, so for me it was really natural to approach this amazing world…

How would you describe the style of your work?

I will define my art-style as a messy and pinky kids room, full of toys, plushies and fairytales but with a spooky side, peopled by ghost stories, monsters under the bed, flying bats… 'cause these are the things that represent me better! and my "art" it's my way to introduce myself to the world!

What’s in your pencil case and what’s your favorite tool?

My pencil case is actually a big brown shoes box (decorated with a lot of pesky ghosts)! 'cause I've got too much tools for a simple case!!! like: watercolors, watercolors pencils, uni-posca, markers of any sort, colored pens, pilot, acrylic paint, brushes, plastic gems, and more…

Who is your favorite superhero?

I usually prefer the villains to the superheroes, but If I have to choose one I'll choose Batman. 'cause he's more similar to a villain then a hero, and his enemies are the best enemies ever! I even love the gothic atmosphere of his world and of his stories!

If you could have one super power what would it be?

I'm a really curious person, so I always wanted to be able to read minds!!!hihihi

Where do you look for inspiration?

I took my inspiration everywhere: on fashion magazines, in children's books, in the movies, in art and illustration books, in the toys stores, in the street markets, in the haunted houses, dark forests and fairy woods ….

Who are your favorite artists or comic book authors?

Oh, there are so many. Those who have more influence on my works are danny brito, ambird, kelly k, vladimir stankovic, looney lolita, wishcandy, miss van, dead spider hands and many more… I'm not so skilled into comic art, but this is a great passion of my boyfriend, so he's introducing me in this amazing world… he got me to know the wonderful Neal Gaiman that I simply adore, I really love Sandman!! I also like Top Ten and Watchmen by Alan Moore, and obviously Batman!! oh and even Brian Lee O'malley's Scott Pilgrim!!
