'Wild and woolly' year celebrates natural fibres

The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization has launched what is it calling a "wild and woolly" international year to draw attention to the importance of natural fibres.
The International Year of Natural Fibres 2009 is designed to raise awareness of the value of such materials as cotton, flax, wool, alpaca, hemp, sisal, cashmere, camel hair and angora.
