It was AWESOME. I mean, I have to get up early and get a long train in and sit and stare at a computer screen all day, but still.
Today I got shown around the company, saw all the cool magazine pictures (so many pictures of Batman in the movie magazines <3), saw all round and stuff and it's really pretty. Then I got to spend a few hours reading through old issues of the magazine to get used to it and using the free CDs and stuff.
Then after that I got a task to do (yay!). The magazine does this thing every months where it reccomends ten gigs coming up in the month it's released, and about three more in the months after. So I've got to get thirteen gigs in September to write articles about (so I can cut them down after). But yeah, I have to find out what bands are playing, then because it's a drumming magazine I have to find out a bit about the drummer and put something interesting, so like for one band I put that this guy's the fourth drummer, and for Serj Tankian I said I hope he can compete with the SOAD drummer etc. It's quite interesting but I have to wing a fair amount. And I spent an hour trying to find out who's drumming with Madonna on her tour haha.
I don't know what I'll be doing the rest of the week but I know at some point there's gonna be an editor's meeting in a pub which I'm allowed to go to - yay! And it's quite free, I can wander off to get a snack if I went one, got an hour for lunch, free proper coffees and hot chocolates. All good =)
