it's simple, just cut a strip of fabric big enough to go around the mirror, sew it up, cut a slit for the button, sew the button on and you're done.

why do you have to change pieces at the ends?

I'd just like to add, blanket stitch uses up more thread then normal, you can use a longer length but it may become tangled. just something to bear in mind if you are keen on presentation

I'm debating covering the dino in clear nail polish, worried that the pen will come off. Have you found that pen comes off shrink plastic?

i need a heat gun, just for the fun and ease of not turning on the oven :P i was worried at first that it would stick to itself - it curled up so much.
I was going to make a fimo dino but decided that copying a picture was easier then sculping with fingerprints. annoyingly when I cut it the plastic sort of broke in the corners because of the way i cut it, but it's a learning curve.

I noticed you make jewellery and I was wondering if you could give me any tips on how to make the rings that necklaces/keyrings are attached to, what wire to use etc. I just want to get those little round circles so I can attach things. I don't want to have to buy loads of the rings from somewhere when I can make my own how I want them.
I have read on CO+K that when making jewellery and using wire you need an anvil+hammer, is that always the case?

what happens if you wear permanent braces though? I used to have traintracks on the front of my teeth, now I have subtle, small wire glued to the back of my teeth to keep them straight. They have come off before when eating Wotsits and bread, I would be worried about pulling something that hardens off of them.

when you say "wool wash" in felting, do you mean the cycle on the washing machine? I was thinking of doing this, but I'm not sure if dishwashing liquid or shampoo would mess up the washing machine (which is a side door btw)

I love this, although I'm a bit confused about the knit and purling, I just usually put the wool on (for the first row), then the wool above the loop, and bring the loop that was on the loom over the wool and off, then go round in a circle. On a 4 peg loom it makes a small sort of tube, bigger ones a bigger circle. I can't work out if this is similar to the way you said to do it or not.
P.S. I just bought myself a set of 4 different sized looms for £12 :) I now have big ones instead of small ones!!
