i found the patterns in a second hand store... but you can buy them at spotlight too, the dark blue is just a light homespun type fabric but the light blue was heavier and stretchy.. not sure what it was though :)

yeah, all you'd have to do is use a stretch fabric (but make sure you use a stretch stitch such as zig-zag or it wont stretch) or just add it to the top part of the dress... if any of that made any sense :)
