Love it, rustic and beautiful
One ticket for the Hogwarts Express please.
Growing up reading Harry Potter in the US didn't stop me from hoping I got a letter with my ticket when I turned 11.
I've been with my boyfriend for over 5 years now. He has always teased me for being the one to make a move and kiss him on our first date. I'd like to take him by surprise and kiss him like it was the first time again.
Coloring books is where it all starts when you're a kid in love with art....
Very cute and delicate, I love the bows at the earring base...
Does the cuff slip off at all? Or do you just pinch it in place?
love love love!
and by hate I mean love
ha, just read the description :P it is one
cute! looks like a pygmy puff :D
very pretty and professional looking!
ahhhhhh! I've just been watching one piece and thinking about those earrings :D
they look great! Def going to give this a try
looks ah-mazing, looove it!
cute! The green one is def my favorite
thanks! :D It was just a cheap poplin / cotton fabric.. I had a limited budget and a lot of yards to buy....
I was able to achieve the bustle look with plastic rings and ties sewn at different heights on the inside. The pattern I mentioned shows you how to do it, I changed it around a bit to get the height and shape I wanted. Its nice cause I can always loosen the ties for a softer look, tighten them to make a fuller bustle or untie them entirely and have the skirt hang. The way I'm wearing it in the pic is with the red layer tied tight all around and the black layer tied tight at the front and loose at the back to give a high-low effect.
Next try a horse, a baby giraffe and a white shark :D
So glad you like it :D
wow gorgeous! The lace is amazing!
very sally :)
Thank you :D
outta curiosity, what did you set your machine to (tension and stitch) to work with a stretchy, thick knit like that?
so cute! You look great!
cool bag... but Giants all the way :D
thats awesome... cause I can never eat a whole caramel apple so bites are perfect!
WIsh I could wear it :( I just don't have that indie-vintage vibe to pull it off.. I'd look like a doll XD
Looks great though, you wear it well!
I think an important thing to remember when things get hard is that you can't control your circumstances but you can always control your actions and your attitude.
I'm currently being treated for general anxiety... it can get overwhelming if I let it but enjoying the little things like a movie with my sisters or a really great craft project can help keep me positive. Most important though is knowing that I am in control of my own well being - it's what motivated me to get help and gain some perspective on my anxiety.
I just melt 'em with the heat from a lighter
I LOVE this!
Great use of a great piece!
super clever, feature project!
turned out really cute :)
Oooo my nails are that bottom color right now...
I kinda wanna paint them like yours but I don't have a burgundy >.>
I like the lining but is that Harry Potter?!
This just made me say "awww halloween!"
very cute, I'm so excited!
Thanks :D np, I'm late in replies too... there's no way of knowing if you have a comment unless you check your public profile :P
sOooooo cute :)
could you use them as a stencil? Paint another color over and peal it off? I dunno :P looks cool all the same
How have I not seen this pattern before?? It's really cute, you did a nice job on it
these tops are super trendy right now, take more pics of the final product so you can do your great make over justice :)
I usually use a bar of dove soap :P is the coconut oil a cleaning agent or it for the aroma?
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!! I loved these! The iced mothers cookies animal crackers!
She'll love it I'm sure :D nice job
so creepy! but it got me to look I guess :P
love pressed flowers, very cute :)
*chomp* lob <3
Thats an awesome idea! Wish I had seen this when my wards with still that little :P
by wards I mean the kids I've been babysitting since they were babies XD
so cute! well done
Minestrone soup. A good soup takes all day to make so weekends are perfect :)
Once saw a pair of porcupine needle earrings and loved them. They were so dramatic and simple all at once. Would love to make some buttons, jewelry, etc.. from them
It looks sweet :) nice job
thanks for faving my personal item cover :)
lol you look so different in each one of your projects when I click I'm always surprised its you :P great job on all of them btw
But I have so many D:
Anywhere from Batman to Sherlock Holmes, Christie's Hercule Poirot to Connolly's Charley Parker, Hammet's Sam Spade to his Nick and Nora, and probably the best of them all... Columbo. lol gotta love Peter Falk....
Best party I ever hosted was my sister's wedding shower. When I was 19 I was my sister's maid of honor so I hosted her shower... I it was a beautiful fall brunch with fresh fruit, loads of breakfast pastries and two kinds of quiche. My boyfriend's mom had amazing pottery barn fall serving dishes and platters that she let me use so it looked as good as it tasted. I had to save a while to pay for all it but it went off without a hitch with yummy food, fun games and gorgeous gifts :) I think I was a good maid of honor considering...
Very cool :D
get rid of spider man and add wonder woman and you'll have the justice league XD
cool nails all the same
thanks for faving my minestrone soup :)
but the peanut butter is the best part! :D
Thanks for faving my minestrone soup :)
nice use of a lovely box :)
very nice :D
hmmm... for overall crafting I'd have to say paint. Whether decorative or functional, its amazing what fresh coat of paint can do to transform the look of a piece. A-mazing.
A good caprese salad is yummy all summer long. Thick slices of mozzarella (or even the herb marinated balls), ripened tomatoes and fresh basil make a perfect mix. I like balsamic dressing reduced to a glaze... its not very original but always classic and delicious!
yay for shakey!
very nice, love the fabric!
very nice :D I like the black claw feet
LOVE this! :D
A while ago I picked up some "made by" tags at the craft store. I'd like to embroider those so I can start labeling the clothes that I make :)
Hi :) I like your medal work.. you use a lost wax method right? Just curious, is this something you are able to do at home or at a shop? Again, your projects are amazing :D
so cute! Love your version :D
thank you for faving my minestrone soup :)
Thanks for faving my minestrone soup :D
Thanks for adding my minestrone soup recipe :D I'm glad you like my projects
Extra virgin olive oil :P sorry
where do you get your supplies?
I looooove pumpkin pie so combining it with sugar and cream cheese just seems right :D
thanks for the sample project, can't wait to try it!
love the print :D
I love Fossil bags... the vintage look, the quality leather and the sheer style all adds up to a beautiful bag. My personal perfect bag would be a medium sized purse, one strap, over the shoulder, magnet closure, with the perfect combination of structure and style and of course a good amount of pockets... I'm still on the hunt but I have faith that if I don't find it one day I can make it :)
Hitchcock's less well known film - Rebecca
"I wish I were a woman of 36, dressed in black satin with a string of pearls!"
That dress. Defiantly. Oh and the costume she wore at the ball :D.
So my comment raving about this project isn't showing up but I have an additional thought to add anyways... How to please :D my boyfriend wants me to make one so he can throw it around the room and say he's "flying" XD
The most fearless sewing project I've ever done was actually my friend's project. I helped her put together her Cinderella dress. Most of the dress was pieced together from different patterns and ones we made ourselves but it turned out beautiful... It was my first time using a a serger and there were just so many layers of chiffon it was crazy :D
Wow, very impressive and time consuming but the results are amazing!
ahhh! So cute! A few years ago I got my sister an Appa plushie for Christmas but this pillow pet is adorable I bet she'd love this even more!I love that you have all six legs :D
they look like they're dancing :D
Would love this tooth brush.
I've never been to Oregon and would love to drive up from California. The coast line is supposed to be BEAUTIFUL, it is the best place in the US to see Shakespeare's finest works preformed and is home to the largest used book store in the US (three stories in one building and another across the street!). I need to makes this road trip happen.
super cute, I love the vintage look you gave your photos
haha it's so bedazzled I love it :D
Oh cool you posted it :) nice work
I love him! <3
Jealous of how skinny you are!
The skirt looks so cute :)
thanks for faving my halter top t-shirt project :)
thanks for faving my men's t-shirt halter top :)
Your covers look so cute and very well crafted! I'm super jealous... keep up the good work :)
thanks for faving my t-shirt halter top project :)
Thanks for faving my t-shirt halter top project :)
Thanks for faving my T-shirt halter top :)
pretty freakin sweet
Knitting isn't too difficult but it'll take practice. I don't have an easy time showing people without being there in person but here are some youtube videos that should help :)
this sounds good, I'd love it alone or with strawberries or lemons :D
very cute, and you're right... scrap book paper makes everything look cute :)
ok scarlet, I think your waist is tiny enough :P
nice job though
aww I like the Scottie dog
Very cool! The way it blends with your own hair makes it look so natural, nice job :)
Looks great! :)
I did simple cross stitch projects when I was little. All your projects really make me want to take up embroidery. Nice work, hope to see more of them :)
looks great! What techniques did you use?
Gl with the welding :) safety first!
lol you bust me up :D enjoy the silliness
I love showing off clothes I've made myself... I'd like to make new summer tops with smocking, cutouts and light weight materials that show just a little something for the season ;)
looks better then the original :D very sweet
impressive and very cute! totally want!
I like the bigger bow and the smaller chain :)
I used to do this when I was little, couldn't remember how... thanks :D
so creepy... but your description made me laugh XD
I think the three things I have learned and used the most have been:
Enjoy your independence - live your life how you want to live it
Don't define yourself by your career - a job is a job, its what you do outside of work and who you spend it with that really matters
Learn to appreciate yourself - the most important approval you can have is your own
Did you fill it with salt? XD
hahahaha so cute!
this looks so good it's ridiculous
I worked at a cafe and was friends with the cooks so I got my dream breakfast made custom for me all the time :D
Some days I would get something decadent like big slices of brioche with sauteed bananas and chocolate syrup
Other days I would get an amazing three cheese omelet with goat cheese, monterey and cheddar topped with pesto
and my favorite was a scramble with egg white, chicken, and salsa and just a bit of garlic aioli with multigrain toast :)
so nice looking! great job
Thanks for faving my kitty apron :D
I don't know why.
But I like it all the same XD
very pretty, does it cover all the important parts? Or does it not need to :P
Mmmm this is interesting. I have difficult hair that gets noticeably greasy (especially at the bangs) after just one day. I like showering every day but it can be harsh on my hair. I've tried the spray in dry shampoo which is difficult to get all the powder out and leaves my hair with a weird texture...
ANYWAYS to get back to your project, it sounds like a good idea :)
Thanks for the fav + comment on my "Le Sac" maxi dress :)
thank you so much! :D
Thanks for faving my maxi le sac dress!
I love the patches, they're so cute!
feature project :D
haha thats so true. The kids I babysit are always stripping the dolls... the funny thing is all the prince dolls have colored undies yet the princesses have nude panties and no bra! A friend did this to one of her sons toys and he wouldn't play with it anymore :P guess they like living vicariously through there toys
I want to try it in fabric :D great pattern
I'd make a big patch work tote bag for by the pool this summer
@ Pamela <3, don't be scared of changing colors! It's as simple as tie, cut and tuck the loose ends :D
too funny :D
I like the upside down kiss! Looks like a yummy pool of chocolate
looks nice! I love the print
That movie is hilarious. Gotta love a young Cary grant :P... nice play on words
Best tip I can give is to make it yourself to fit your needs.
I was tired of my sewing gear being all over the place while working on a project or stored in various storage containers so I made my own roll up kit custom for all the tools I use the most. All it took was some spare fabric and a good ruler.
too cute! :D I wonder how hard it would be to add lining to the inside though
I thought it was really cute till I realized that everyone can see your waist measurements! eek! I guess if you're tinny it doesn't matter :P
apple bag <3
enter this in the charm contest! :D
tutorial please :)
It looks great! I'm glad you took something as difficult as losing your hair used it as an opportunity to make it look so fun and cute :)
nice job :)
I crochet hats when I'm bored, its mindless enough that you can watch a movie and keep your hands busy at the same time :)
Thanks for faving my beach hair tutorial :)
thanks for faving my beach hair tutorial :)
thanks for faving my beach hair tutorial! :)
very pretty! But I'd want to eat them D:
so cute :3
So cute. So creative. Love <3
Thank you :) I try...
It looks amazing! I haven't tried making a corset yet... you're so skinny!!
HA! Clever :P
Wow this is so cute and original! :)
Wow. You did an amazing job on this! Sometimes when people cosplay they make their costumes to general or too literal but you made yours perfect!
You used a rosary chain didn't you :P
Thank you for all the recent favs :)
Thanks for all the favs :)
It's a great print! I wish had more... I used the scraps to make a bag for my sister, any pics of the comforter?
Thank you so much! Both of you :D
Thanks :) I would love to but I can't take credit for/pirate the design. The pattern I used was Simplicity #2250 from the Cynthia Rowley collection. You can order it online from their website or find it in store (Joann's runs $.50 pattern sales if you want to get it cheap)
Thank you :)
Hey sorry for taking so long to accept, I didn't realize I had a friend's request :)
It's adhering tiny fiber particles to a surface to create texture. You can find flocking powders at any craft store.
Haven't tried any hardware like this yet, very helpful!
Looks nice! Kinda looks like candy >.> nom
If it wasn't a fire hazard I would have stuck random items all over the pumpkin XD
I'd sew a simple spring dress for my boyfriend's three year old little sister. She love dresses, especially when they're pink. I'd use the scraps to make a matching dress for her teddy bear, Beary Beary.
Learn by doing. When trying a new project have ready the supplies for second version, because chances are you'll be impatient and make silly mistakes the first time. Treat it as practice and move on to the next because the second time around always comes out perfect :)
OMG it's a poptart kitty! Lob <3
I have this dresser in white
This is a nice little makeover for a boring dresser. Will use for sure :)
very cool, I'm a big fan of re-using furniture :)
very cute :)
wow they came out so pretty!
hilarious, gross and wonderful all at once :)
