I'm a 22 year old artist/crafter from California :)
I've been doing art and crafts for as long as I can remember, I mostly focus on my art and post my work on my deviant art but now that I am a member of Cut Out + Keep I'll be sure to show off my crafty side!
I love sewing, crocheting, knitting, painting, baking... anything fun, creative and practical
My style/ inspiration is very eclectic. I love different elements of vintage, classic, baroque, punk, Japanese/kawaii... the difficult part is combining these styles
On a more personal note: I'm pretty easy going, I like quite nights in with good company. I'm also a middle child of a very large family so I'm used to acting as the mediator and try to be empathetic/sympathetic to others. I'm finishing school with a Humanities degree mostly because I loved learning about different cultures and artistic movement, what makes them unique, how they got to be that way and how that has affected others. It's a nice combination of Art History, English, Philosophy, Religious Studies, History and Sociology. I'd love to work in an art gallery or museum but I'd be happy working at any decent job that allows me to afford the lifestyle I wish to live. I don't define myself by my career but choose to focus on how I spend my life outside of work. I guess the last thing I have to say is how much I feel at home in arts/ crafts. It's something I've been doing for a long time and although I chose not to pursue the arts as a career I'm happy to have it in my life as something I can enjoy doing for myself.
