How did you find CO+K and why did you join?

I actually found out about Cut Out and Keep through an old magazine and a blog a few years ago. I can't really remember what magazine or blog but the first time i looked at the website i decided to join. I really wanted to show off my creations i have made and get feedback.

What projects are you currently working on?

Im currently drawing new designs for my bunting (drawing is not my strong point), currently i have birds and recently i made deer bunting so i want to do more animals.

What does your craft space look like?

I tend to do all my crafting on my desk with everything on it from my tv to my printer (i even eat on it lol). I have recently bought another desk to keep my sewing machine and my drawing materials on (which has been very handy as i hoard so many arts and craft materials). At the bottom end of my room i have chester draws which have (yet again) more art and craft stuff in as well as a material box which is on the floor. I would love to convert my garage into my studio but im afraid my brother has dibs on it to become a gym.

Which tool or craft supply do you use the most?

The tool i mostly use is my sewing machine and printer. I use alot of transfer paper on my crafts so its essential that my printer works (it usually does. . . most of the time) and i really cant live without my sewing machine!

What do you craft along to?

When crafting im either listening to Free Radio or watching films or tv episodes on Prime Instant Movies. Recently i have been watching Revenge while making some of my bunting for my online shop.

Favorite Craft

I have found over the years the more you practice the better you get. When i started making bunting i found bias binding the most difficult thing to sew on my bunting, now i have found easier ways to attach my flags through experimenting and time. I used to really hate making bunting but now i love it, It calms me some how. I must say that i still hate drawing my designs with a passion!

Kylie's Top Crafts

If you could learn one new craft or make anything, what would it be?

At college i got to do many different crafts like pottery and ceramics, photography and fashion, but i would love to try silver smithing. I would love to construct and stamp my own silver jewellery made by my own very hands.

Who are your crafting heroes?

My crafting heroes are Mr Finch and Amanda Wood Designs. I love the way Mr Finch uses scrap material to create his large lifelike animals he creates. With Amanda Wood Designs i love her work because I'm jealous with her sewing abilities.
