-Graduate student focusing on History, photography and memory studies.
-Used to work the Long Island craft fair circuit with my BFF. Now, I craft to maintain my sanity.
-Paints, draws, sews, knits, crochets, sculpts, collages and otherwise creates cool stuff out of curb-side finds.
-Throws nothing out. If I can't use it (unlikely), I will donate it to Materials Resource Center (MRC) so another artist/student/teacher/crafter can put it to use.
I spend most of my time reading, when I'd rather be crafting.
I don't eat animals.
As a result of my frantic attempts to define myself in while high school and the first few semesters of college, I refuse to occupy one category, I do not want to be defined. By adhering to definitions and categorizations we impose limits on ourselves.
That said, I'll admit that I do prefer some terminology:
I prefer "thrifty" and "eco-conscious" to "garbage-picker";
I prefer "eccentric" to "weirdo";
I am not a Coping Student, I am a Frustrated Crafter.

Hey, well I found the stamp in the bottom of a box at a thrift store without even a wooden part, just the strip or rubber!

-gasp!- You found some oatmeal monsters?!!! They're a rare breed these days. Perhaps my oatmeal monster and yours are related?
