What I do to motivate myself to workout is think about how tired I'll feel without it. When I don't workout, I often feel fatigue for no reason at all. So working out is the solution to build up more energy, so I don't waste my life away being so tired all the time! It also helps when I'm upset; it really takes my mind off of stress. Not only am I getting the benefits of a healthy workout, but it's also a healthy option to cope with certain things.
My new year's resolution is to become more active with crafting! No more slacking! I need to take my crochet supplies with me, so I can squeeze in some crafting time while I'm sitting around. Whether it'd be waiting for my order or sitting in class; I need to get the move on and get my creativity going.
Gemini would be my favorite sign b/c they're twins; twins always do things together and you can never have one without the other. Without one, there would be no balance. I just think it's beautiful (and rare) when you have a set of twins. Twins are so identical, both physically and mentally, it's almost mystifying! Who wouldn't be interested in a sign of the twins?
The best party I've ever been to was a crafting party. It wasn't your typical crafting party, but one where you get to meet fellow crafters within the area. It was great b/c we all crafted with one another, we traded some ideas/tips, and we got to meet some amazing crafters! The thought of having a bunch of strangers come together for the same interest; it was such a wonderful idea! Our city has this get together every winter, and it gives us a chance to make new friends and let our crafting community grow! Craft parties are always the best!
I would have to say Batman. Why? -b/c he actually doesn't use/have any super powers; he uses his amazing gadgets and his knowledge in martial arts. THAT'S a real hero!
I couldn't live without paint! Paint adds colors to everything. Whether it'd be a vivid color or a dull one; it always adds a nice touch to things that are plain Jane. :) It's such a versatile craft supply; you can use it on just about any surface using any type of design in mind! And the thought of mixing colors to create a brand new color, just makes paint all the more fun to work with. You can never go wrong with paint!
My favorite kind of bag would have to be the "minimalist" type of bag; a bag that's compact, yet it can still hold just enough. Or just any bag that has tons of pockets to keep me organized! If a bag doesn't have pockets, my life would be in chaos. It's not like pockets can go out of style anyway! :)
My favorite holiday photo would deff have to had been the one of the beach scene. I remember taking the road trip to Key West, and thinking about all the stops we made along the way. When we finally got there, we were lucky enough to snag up the best hotel room. (with the best view of course!) This was the beach right outside of our hotel room balcony, and it was really serene and peaceful. It was the perfect get away! This photo is special to me, because this was probably the only place we have ever vacationed to that was so surreal. The water was crystal clear, the waves put you to sleep, and it was the place to wind down. Another reason why this photo is so important to me is because it reminded me slow down in life, and give myself a break. Life doesn't have to be a constant rush, but that there could be times to sit back and enjoy what nature has given us. Whether it's the fields of endless flowers, or the sound of the crashing waves....mother nature is always here to nurture her hardworking children. I grew up as a city girl, and being in Key West made me appreciate the open sea and the life in it. Hopefully, in the future, my next road trip will be to the mountains!
I've always wanted a circus themed wedding! Everything pastel, a flamethrower, a giant carousel, ballerinas on the tight rope, people doing tricks on those long, red pieces if material that hang from the ceiling, cotton candy.....that kind of stuff!
Oh my! Thank you for the kind comment! The little girl is actually my youngest sister. :) I usually crochet things for her but she doesn't seem to like dolls and such. :(
Yup! Crocheting is my thing! :) Making the Hello Kitty pillow took forever! I'm not used to crocheting big things. (even though the actual size of the pillow was about 9 inches tall. lol)
Eh?! You live near/in Orlando? We should deff meet up and have like a craft party or something! It'd be awesome. :) I actually sell some of my amigurumi, and hopefully I can get my etsy store ready for the rest of the world! lol Stay awesome and keep on crafting! <3
I would deff send this to my boyfriend! This Halloween would make it our 2 year anniversary. And I think this would be the perfect thing to send to him. I feel like the size of the letter represents a very big meaning - no gift, no matter how large and glamorous it may seem, can compare to a written letter telling someone how you feel. Words through a text message, via email (or anything else that involves the use of technology) - that's not the same. Everyone knows that it all started with the letter. I mean, there is a reason why they call it a LOVE LETTER and not love texts/emails. :)
I would have to say my style is vintage. When I say vintage, I don't mean those "vintage" clothes from Forever21 or Urban outfitters. I talking about the real deal. The REAL vintage. Floral prints from the 80s and 90s, moomoo dresses, bold prints and patterns, blazers with the shoulder pads - all from swaps, hand me downs, and thrift stores. It's a great way to reduce your fashion footprint. So basically you're doing two things: 1. you're doing the enviroment a favor 2. you're exploring new fashion finds for yourself.
I hope you do learn how to crochet! It's quick (usually), easy, and fun! Once you get the hang of it, you'll be making your own amigurumi and will no longer need to spend so much money on purchasing kawaii stuffed animals. Good luck on crocheting! : )
