for type of glue: you should use E6000! it works fabulously
and instead of just filing down the shanks, you should use button shank cutters (flush cutters) they dont even leave a stump!

Hey! i totally agree with you that you have a full kids life, i wish i rocked as hard as you do when i was ten but you still don"t need to act too grown up. go out and experience the magic of the world. Play with the fairies and see a couple of sunsets. Just trust me on one thing. lipstick isn't a good idea until your much older and eye liner with mascara is fine for a normal day. :)
