About

I have been sewing for approximately 15 years now when I asked a friend to teach me. I have come a long way and I have been told by many many people that my work looks so proffesional, and that I should start a business. I love to sew, and take pride in my work because I love to create and make things looks as nice and proffesional as I can. I have taught machine quilting and loved it, and now I am working on projects to build up an inventory so I can possibly make some money at some craft fairs. I have so many projects I want to start, and I just can't decide which to make first. My least favorite part to sewing is cutting out patterns. My most favorite is embelishing my work. That's the fun part!

I love looking for new ideas, and I found the perfect place for that, and that's here at "Cut out and Keep". Thanks for all the lovely creative items you all share on here. Your all so very talented, and it's a pleasure to view all the creations everyone makes on here. I have one daughter "Jillian" who will be 22 yrs old in a few weeks, Boy do I feel old! I just recently married in March 2010, and have a wonderful husband. My mother just passed away from cancer 6 weeks ago today. I flew to Florida to take her back home with me so I could care for her, and she only lasted 3 weeks. I miss you mom so much! She was also very talented and made beautiful crochet projects. My sister whom she lived with in Florida has a tremendous talent for painting things, and would love to someday do murals. So I come from a long line of crafters, and I only wished I would have learned my skills at an earlier age so I could have made money a long time ago, lol! Well that's about it for now. Thank you all for all your talents and projects you share...

So glad to make a friend always.SMILE.
Yes I will see if I can find the pic of my dolls. My daughter has some of them they are packed away. But I will try to find pic of them.
I had every thing on a hard drive back up slave and my whole computer got wet, by an act of to me pure violence, I had the computer esp made for me and had ever thing on the large backup and it all got destroyed.
I do have pictures some where, will see if I can find some.I have a small doll I keep out 2 realy one is a baby. She is hand big..lol
I will take pic of them when we finish moving and I get them unpacked.I put up a pic of my last quilt I had made some years ago.I have moved so much in the last few years, I haven't got to make another.Yes losing a child is very very hard. She is always on my mind. But It makes it easier to know she is in a better place, she had so many health issues and seizures and one arm had got crushe din a seizure and had a stell bar in it..So my comfort is she is in no pain.SMILE.She asked me when she was about 13, Momma , are you an angel? I was doing dishes, I said no honey Im not and kinda laughed, she said, I think you must be your so loving and sweet. What wonderful word to rember her by..lol.but there are others to.
I love sewing..I dont have much room to do it in , and will have less room in the new place.I am one of those people that get so messy with any thing I do..lol..
HOpe to hear from you soon and see what your doing next..Many huggs to a new friend..PJ

Hi PJ,
Thank you so much for the nice compliments. I'm so sorry about your daughter, that has to be the hardest thing losing a child, and I'm truely sorry for your loss. I guess we have some things in common like starting late in life crafting. I do wish I had done this years ago, as I possibly could have started my own business, lol. I've been sewing cute little pet cell phone cases to have for a craft fair next year. I started too late making them, and I thought if I take the whole year making things, I should have a pretty good inventory next year, although I could use the money this year more. Do you have any pictures of your dolls that you made? I would love to see your work. Well it's so nice to meet you, and have a crafting friend here. Let's keep in touch, okay?

I also started out late learning that I had a lot of different talents.I wish I had known also when I was young, but I worked all the time raising 4 kids.Im sorry about your mom.I lost mine a long time ago, but lost my oldest daughter last year.
Your work is really great, and looks like you say professional.Im the only girl out of 4 that does crafts , but all my sisters sew really well.I have made a lot of money from my crafts in the past, esp my sculptures.Dolls were my specialty.Complete hand sculpted and all clothes hand made. But I havent done but little sculptures in many years.I love your fish bag, that is so cute.
