About

Hello, nice to meet you.
When I am in front of a glue gun or a paint brush my name is
Keri Plezia.
When I am in front of a microphone and a mixer I am known as
Miss Holley King.
I host my very own radio show "Rock-a-billy & BEYOND" over at
www.radiofreephoenix.com.

As Keri Plezia the artist I build and design unique and creative Stained Glass windows.
I lived in Wickenburg, Arizona for over 10 years and was able to do custom work in over 100 homes in the beautiful desert there.

I crafted and installed Side Lights for many homes front entry ways,
Palladium Windows above front entry ways,
Sky Lights, Cabinet Doors, Sliding Doors,
Bathroom Shower Doors and Custom Lighting with Wall Sconces.

I was born in Chicago and moved to Arizona when I was 10 years old.
I was raised in the North Valley of Phoenix, Arizona.

Recently I moved to South Haven Michigan.
I have a degree in Graphic Art and I attended many other art classes of many different kinds all over the Valley of the Sun in Phoenix Arizona.

I stumbled into Stained Glass 17 years ago when I signed my husband and myself up for a workshop class. It was a wonderful Mother - Daughter shop that was located in the old newspaper building in down town Glendale, Arizona.
Alice and Kim taught Stained Glass, (both forms of construction) as well as Lamp Work Glass Bead Making, Glory Hole work, Sand Blasting, Kiln Fusing and more.
I have built my business around Stained Glass and other fun things like mosaics.
I just graduated from my longest running client and biggest supporter, Zia CD and Record Exchange.
It was my 18 year anniversary with them in October and thought it was time to move on.

I love to construct Stained Glass Windows, Doors and Cabinets for new home construction, remodels and businesses BUT I also enjoy all my other FUN things like jewelry and wearable altered art.

Kathy Cano Murillo a dear friend from my old days at "Arizona Arts and Crafts" invited me to join her art and craft group The PHOENIX FRIDAS.
(We just won "BEST LATINA ART COLLECTIVE" in the
The Phoenix New Times)
It has been fun and rewarding. We have a ball working with each other and have done some fun projects like getting to show our stuff on Cable TV shows like
"Uncommon Treads"
and "Craft Lab".
(I got to be a featured guest on "Crafters Coast To Coast" and "That's Clever" as well.)

I do not limit myself to just creating windows, I also enjoy the challenge of repairing and reconstructing antique windows for churches and I like to restore lamps.

If you'd like to speak with me about designing that perfect custom piece, feel free to contact me here.

This was taken in late 2005 at TV3in Phoenix Arizona
Dan Davis, Carmen deNovais (Phoenix Fridas), Cassie Hale (my Niece), Me & Scott Passmore

I was lucky enough to be chosen for one of my favorite craft shows DIY's/HGTV's
That's Clever
(also known as Crafters Coast to Coast.)

Here is the link
It was a lot of FUN!

I also was on an episode of CRAFT LAB.
I made the Kaleidoscope I have featured in my Unique Gifts
on my www.art-a-facts.com web site

I have also participated in many art shows in conjunction with Phoenix's own "1st Fridays".
Besides having a booth or something at one of the local galleries like Soul Invictus, I had two showings at
The Paper Heart.

The 1st show two years ago was with my friends I met through the years working with Zia Record Exchange.
Zia's was remodling so we took the old desks and made ART out of them.

The other show last year was me with my Phoenix Frida ladies.
We turned the back gallery RED and made a "boudoir" for Frida Kahlao featuring all of our Frida inspired art.

This is me with my neice Cassie at the Frida Kahlo exhibit at the Paper Heart in Phoenix, Arizona July 14th 2006.
We have also had many showings at Bookman's AND Changing Hands Book Store in Tempe Arizona.
This is one of our many Library Exhibits...
Here we are at Burton Barr Central Library in Phoenix Arizona.

Here are some of my Stained Glass "gift" items I sell at Galleries...

These are just a few of the many things I made for the stores at Zia Records over the years...
-Mighty Mini Magnets
-Stash/Cigar Boxes
-Jewelry
-T-shirts
-Candles
-and more (etc...)

My sister in-law just called me and said I was on TV last week on a show called "The:DISH" on the Style Network hosted by Danielle Fishel
(who played Topanga on Boy Meets World.)

Allison Whitlock and I were finishing up my
soft scupture 'Day of the Day' doll.

I was told the way they 'cut' it was
funny (and cute)
I would be great if Icould see the segment
or if I had a copy
of the TV show clip.

If anyone knows anything about this OR can help me
on my quest, PLEASE let me know :O)

THANKS, have a good one,
Keri Plezia

The last thing I've made with stained glass was a window ^_^ I used hotglass in the middle of it. IT turned out very well I think for being the 1st window I've made all by myself. It was much harder then making a little humming bird or something like that. When my two ulcers clear up I will take pics of it. (I have two in my left eye T__T)

Coming from NYC to Wickenburg was a shock. People in the local super market would be like "there is that nurse from NYC"....LOL. I fell in LOVE with AZ such a beautiful state!! So many beautiful places to see great hiking!! Small world huh!!

Hey Keri, I think you may have me confused - I wasn't the person who made the hand-pin cushion. I do love your projects though!
