How did you find CO+K and why did you join?

Years ago, I was searching for an arts & crafts forum or somewhere to share and socialize with other crafters. I found Cut Out & Keep and knew it was exactly what I was searching for. :)

What projects are you currently working on?

I'm working on my 10 Dresses in 10 Weeks Summer Sewing Series right now. The tutorials are being released every Tuesday for the next couple of months. I'm also working on some upcoming series, including clothing for Sweater Weather and some plushies.

What does your craft space look like?

A mess, haha. Usually it looks like a tornado of fabric, but for the most part, I try to keep my fabric folded neatly on a bookcase. The top shelf is where I store apparel fabrics, the second is for my plushies, and the bottom are basic sewing supplies and magazines for inspiration.

I have my sewing machine on an "activity table" (but really are one of those TV trays). And then I have a separate desk and computer space, which is where I edit my photos and videos.

Which tool or craft supply do you use the most?

My sewing machine and this really old but lethal pair of scissors my dad gave to me. They're the sharpest things I've ever used.

What do you craft along to?

I usually listen to audiobooks, but when I'm working on a serious project that requires all of my attention, Norah Jones's crooning will do the trick. :)

Favorite Craft

I love sewing because I get to customize clothing the way I like. I love seeing new trends but sometimes they're just not my style. With sewing I can make fashionable things my own way and in my own perfect fit.

Dresses make me happy! I can sew dresses for the rest of my life.

Van's Top Crafts

If you could learn one new craft or make anything, what would it be?

Shoes!

Who are your crafting heroes?

I love Merrick White from http://www.mericksart.com and K.L. from Secret Life of a Bio Nerd.
