if your still looking into learning how to knit or crochet, the books "stitch and bitch" are a tremendous help. im a self taught knitter and crochetter (sp?), and i may not be able to knit sweaters and such, but ive made my fair share of scarfs, bracelets, belts, fingerless gloves, handbags, and shoulderpurses, im still working on my crocheting, but ive made a flower, and im doing a circle pillow for my mom, and its thanks to the stiches ive learned from these books. i believe theres two on knitting, or maybe just one, but then theres one on crocheting and knitting combined. and the best thing about them is that they're not an old grandma type of book, its really hip and fun, showing you all sorts of patterns such as bikinis, scull bracelets, awesome bags, and all sorts of things. i don't know where you could find them or how much they are if your willing to buy the books, but i just check them out at the public library, and if your library doesn't have them on their shelfs, lots of libraries have a request program where they'll get them sent in from other libraries, and you can check them out that way, the only bad thing with the requesting is that most the time you can't renew them, you'll have to give it back, and be put back on the waiting list to get it again.
yep that's why. Pectin does the same thing but it's from plants I wish who ever made Haribo would use pectin instead of geletin I love Haribo!!! I have vegetarian jelly sweets though so that's ok :D
