Thank you! You won't believe what happened to these, though...I had sealed them with Mod Podge, and after I had worn them a couple of times, the topcoat cracked. The entire finish began to peel off! They were ruined, until I sandpapered them and re-painted a different theme completely. I painted the galaxy pattern onto another pair of (canvas) boots, though. I have to post some pics of both pairs.
Ya know something...I apologize. I never gave the instructions for making the actual piece of jewelry, only the macaroni beads. The title of this project is misleading. And the last photo shows a bracelet, not a necklace! Sorry, crafters!
I am working on some new ones (when I can fit it in between work and everything else) so you'll see some new stuff soon. I am so glad you guys like these projects.
You guys, thanks so making this featured! You are spoiling me ;D
Cat, it isn't really shrunk so much as the heat makes it soft enough to cut.
Taz, that is cool that you got a bunch of vinyl! I really wouldn't try it in the oven because of the fumes. Definitely get yourself a heat gun since you can use it for other projects.
Yeah, the microwave thing does look scary--but if you only put it in for a few seconds, it shouldn't kill anything. At least, I've been able to do this successfully a number of times!

DIS.AR.RAY,
yeah it looks complicated, but somewhere in there was a clasp, it's hard to see it. My wrist is tiny so I could just slip it on.
I think you can do the shrink plastic in a toaster oven, haven't tried it though!
Impybat almost 5 years ago
Looks awesome!!!
Impybat almost 5 years ago
Of course I don't mind, thank you!
Impybat almost 5 years ago
