Thank you! You won't believe what happened to these, though...I had sealed them with Mod Podge, and after I had worn them a couple of times, the topcoat cracked. The entire finish began to peel off! They were ruined, until I sandpapered them and re-painted a different theme completely. I painted the galaxy pattern onto another pair of (canvas) boots, though. I have to post some pics of both pairs.
You're welcome, Lacey! It looks so cool; I love melted crayon art!
Thanks Vermin Jerky! Thank you for coming up with such a cool project in the first place :)
Thanks everyone, for the comments!
DAllas F, put up some pix when you're done! I loved the Smurfs when I was little.
Awesome, post a pic when you're done :)
Thank you, Zombie Babe!
Thanks, Zombie Babe!
This is beautiful. Fantastic job!
Nathan, you sound like an absolute sweetheart. I love your projects, too! XO
Oops, disregard that comment.
LMAO! The cat's expression is priceless.
I must be half asleep. This was supposed to be "versionfied", but this is how it published. I also spelled applied wrong ;)
Awesome! I love the greys and the purples.
Thank you Jet!
Thank you, Jet!
Thank you Biblohip!
Thanks Sondra (and Ezme, sorry a few years late...for some unknown, glitchy reason, CO+K would not let me post comments for a long time)!
Thank you :)
So cute! I love shrink plastic.
COOL!!! I need to try this!
You're welcome Stephanie, thanks for putting yours up in the first place! He loved it--he was really surprised when he opened it!!
Thank you! I agree, I would really like to see more hand-drawn ATCs too. I would love to do a card swap! Let's chat.
Thank you, Special! (sorry it took me forever to comment).
Thank you, Sugarlishes! I hope you guys do some zombie ATCs, too!
Thank you, Lo and violetta!
Ya know something...I apologize. I never gave the instructions for making the actual piece of jewelry, only the macaroni beads. The title of this project is misleading. And the last photo shows a bracelet, not a necklace! Sorry, crafters!
This is awesome!!
I finally got around to doing this project, and I love the way they came out! Thanks again for the tutorial.
WOW!! Seriously one of the greatest costumes I have ever seen! GREAT job!
Great idea! They're portable :)
Cool, I love how they came out!
Amazing, this came out beautiful!
Let's see a tute for the plastic silverware one, chase!
I LOVE Donnie Darko, this is a cool necklace.
I've seen the toothbrush ones, but not the plastic silverware ones--those sound cool!
This is gorgeous!
Elli, this is majorly addicting, you can really go nuts with it :)
Beautiful, I love the texture
Very cool, I love tattoo-inspired art/crafts!
Those are so cool!
LOL Thanks so much, Taz!
I am working on some new ones (when I can fit it in between work and everything else) so you'll see some new stuff soon. I am so glad you guys like these projects.
You guys, thanks so making this featured! You are spoiling me ;D
Cat, it isn't really shrunk so much as the heat makes it soft enough to cut.
Taz, that is cool that you got a bunch of vinyl! I really wouldn't try it in the oven because of the fumes. Definitely get yourself a heat gun since you can use it for other projects.
Bubbles is the man. TPB rules!
yeah it looks complicated, but somewhere in there was a clasp, it's hard to see it. My wrist is tiny so I could just slip it on.
I think you can do the shrink plastic in a toaster oven, haven't tried it though!
Of course I don't mind, thank you!
No prob Jessie, I've been going nutty with these projects lately!
It is fun and Cat yes, it does feel cool!
I think I may have to learn how to crochet so I can do this!
Thank you so much for making this the featured project!!
So far it hasn't!
Oops, I tried converting this to a How-To and managed to miss part one? sorry everyone, all the steps are here tho!
Thanks everybody! I had so many tuts on my blog, I needed to share. I'm working on some new ones too.
Glad you like this! Imagine what you could do with a huge poster board and different colored caps, too.
Yeah, the microwave thing does look scary--but if you only put it in for a few seconds, it shouldn't kill anything. At least, I've been able to do this successfully a number of times!
Thanks! I love shrink plastic, it is one of my favorite materials to work with.
You are welcome, Cat! Glad you enjoyed it.
