About
I'm a 21 year-old college student majoring in modern European history and minoring in Russian Studies. I like making things and learning how to make things so that I can be more independent of consumer culture, and also have a more discerning eye when examining it as well. I'm interested in learning to sew better, knit faster (and better), and probably do some basic furniture stuff (IKEA hacking, maybe) as well.

Thanks Tawney T! I'll have to get that book. It's not easy teaching yourself when you have no idea how to do something! I am trying to stay with it because I want to ( one day) be able to make my own sweaters!
Maybe before I'm 80!
