Hi Queen Fairypants,
I saw where you had questions on the Yellow cowl and Alyssa J. had a way to do it w/o the yo's and sl. 1 st. Were you able to do it? I'm still having a problem. My question is when it comes to the knit 1 row........do you knit across all 18 stitches and then start again with the knit 2...turn...knit 2...knit 4...turn...knit 4...etc. on that end? OR do you just knit 1 row using the 12 stitches you're working on with the turning?
Am I being confusing? In other words do you work the knit...turn...on both ends? Knit 2...turn...knit 4...turn...then knit 1 row (across all 18 stitches) then on that end start the knit 2..turn...knit 4....turn...then when you knit 1 row (across all 18 stitches)...begin again with the knit 2...turn...knit 4...turn...on the original end...and back and foth like that?
I love the cowl and I'm major confused. Can you help me? Thanks for your time.
jackie....anxiously awaiting some instructions that make sense! :-) 'cuz I can just SEE myself in that gorgeous cowl!
Hi Alyssa J.,
It's Jackie again. Well I'm trying it with your instructions. Question though.....when it says to 'knit one row' does that mean to knit across the entire row....all stitches? That would leave me at the opposite end of the 'knit 2...turn...knit 4...turn etc.' So do I start the pattern repeats at that end? Or do I knit back across to where they already are? I'm major conjused. Please.....if you can understand what I 'm saying.........
HELP!!! I LOVE this scarf and would love to make it....hellllllllllp!!! :-)
Hi Alyssa J.,
Like Queen Fairypants I couldn't get this to work either with the yarn overs and slip the stitch. When it came to turn.....I did...but I still had two stitches left on the needle. I'm going to follow YOUR instructions with leaving out the yarn overs and slip stitch parts and see what happens. Thanks so much for posting this comment with how you made it work because I think this is an awesome scarf and can just see it around my neck! :-)
