You can use any old zipper. You can buy brass zippers new for less than $2 at walmart or a craft/sewing store like Joann's or Hancock's.

I don't know what the angle was... I just worked within the widths of what I had. I can't find my CAD drawing either...

It needed something... that's why I used a bottle cap for the other one.

I used a hole punch for bottle caps, but you can just use a nail or drill.

When we moved to Denver 8 weeks ago, it was really the only thing he begged me to find space for in our Jeep.

I'd be happy to send you the CAD drawings, but I made this bed at my trade school where I had access to a LOT of commercial grade tools. If you don't have a lot of experience with woodworking AND the proper tools, I would not attempt to make this bed. I'm a professional woodworker. The whole thing has less than 10 screws holding it together (I used tenon and mortise mostly.) Instructables has a lot of tutorials for making beds. I'm tempted to try some myself.

I don't usually do chainmail, my ex-gf did and these were left over from a family member who passed. She isn't strong enough to work with steel, so I decided to make something. But we never made our own rings even though we talked about it several times.

nothing. i drilled holes in the bottlecaps with a 1/16" bit... one on each side.
