yes, try it! it´s a bit more fiddly than making clothing but as the pieces are so small you get a result in no time which satisfied me the most :DD i got the buckles from a traveling fabric market that comes from holland. it´s near my town every few months, they simply have the widest range for this stuff around here... the buckles already had the "leather" straps attached and an extra strap came with it so there was no need for me to buy extra thick fake leather. probably, you will find buckles without the straps more often, i couldn´t believe my luck when i saw them ready-made and had to buy them!! :D
the outer layer of fabric or in other words the fabric you will see when the project is finished. In this case the red and white dotted cotton fabric :)

you´re welcome! well, a bit complicated... i found a job last year and started just immediately after my fashion show, but after only six weeks of working we all received a cancelation because the company is closing down... so now i´m searching for another job and try to launch an onlineshop/get a side job. that´s life, i´m happy it happened now when i´m young and have no family i´m responsible for!! some colleagues will have some worse times now... at least i can do all the projects i wanted to do but had no time for it, now your bow shirt is on my list too!! it´s so cute!!

it´s really easy with the facing, i just cut two strips of the outer fabric (as wide as the lining rectangle and about 10cm long) and cut the lining accordingly shorter, so when the strip and the lining are sewed together to a rectangle it´s as long as the outer fabric rectangle. then i sewed the sides and bottom of both outer fabric and lining, put the outer bag into the lining bag so right sides are facing and sewed around the top edge (i included the handles but i think you can imagine that xD). for turning i rip up the bottom seam of the lining a small distance and sew it shut after turning.
i hope you can understand what i mean, sometimes it´s hard to explain in english...

normalerweise gibts tüll in (fast) jedem stoffladen oder in den stoffabteilungen von karstadt oder galeria, meistens auf rollen im unteren teil der zuschneidetische (meine erfahrung, man sucht manchmal ewigkeiten) im internet gibts den echt günstig bei stoff4you.de, bei thetullefactory.de ists etwas teurer, aber die haben auch welchen mit glitzer oder sehr weichen für petticoats! hoffe, ich konnte helfen!!
puh, da das vor über einem jahr war und ny alle zwei,drei wochen neu ausliefert, seh ich da eher schwarz...ich hab bei ner filiale in meiner nähe n paar wochen nachdem ich die gekauft hatte nochmal in der resterampe gekuckt, da war schon nix mehr, wollte noch mehr nähen damit, hat mich etwas geärgert... aber es gibt den als ganz normalen baumwollstoff in mehreren onlineshops!

that sounds amazing! you should try that i would say!! your bustle skirt looks so great, i have to make one for me too! (the week should have some more days for sewing...) i like the idea with the corseted back, it always have some kind of ancient but sexy touch :) and i have to say i fell in love with cuffs, i don´t know exactly why, maybe it´s the thing that you can fold them down when it´s cold and still look cool or that they´re military style... so, i will definitely be the one who regards you for that coat!!

i wasn´t that well with vegan diet because i couldn´t spend enough time for choosing and combining food the right way so every vitamin & co. is covered... at least i think it´s because of that, i´m always home late and can´t eat much and anything warm in the evenings (yeah, quite complicated) and at university i can´t cook :) besides, soja yoghurt wasn´t my very best friend :)) how did you refine your diet? or got used to be vegan? i´m really interested!! i think it´s good to be vegetarian but it does not solve the cruelnesses that are done to animals completely...

you´re welcome! well, a bit complicated... i found a job last year and started just immediately after my fashion show, but after only six weeks of working we all received a cancelation because the company is closing down... so now i´m searching for another job and try to launch an onlineshop/get a side job. that´s life, i´m happy it happened now when i´m young and have no family i´m responsible for!! some colleagues will have some worse times now... at least i can do all the projects i wanted to do but had no time for it, now your bow shirt is on my list too!! it´s so cute!!

it´s really easy with the facing, i just cut two strips of the outer fabric (as wide as the lining rectangle and about 10cm long) and cut the lining accordingly shorter, so when the strip and the lining are sewed together to a rectangle it´s as long as the outer fabric rectangle. then i sewed the sides and bottom of both outer fabric and lining, put the outer bag into the lining bag so right sides are facing and sewed around the top edge (i included the handles but i think you can imagine that xD). for turning i rip up the bottom seam of the lining a small distance and sew it shut after turning.
i hope you can understand what i mean, sometimes it´s hard to explain in english...

why is your apple bread a bread and not a cake? i´m a bit confused, also with the difference between cake and pie...
and to the dress: i forgot to take a closeup pic and now the dress is gone and the girl that owns it now also forgot to take closeups... i thought she would but she gave me just some blurry half-portraits... well, bad luck, i think i have to go to her again to take some, i think i can include them in my future applications!

normalerweise gibts tüll in (fast) jedem stoffladen oder in den stoffabteilungen von karstadt oder galeria, meistens auf rollen im unteren teil der zuschneidetische (meine erfahrung, man sucht manchmal ewigkeiten) im internet gibts den echt günstig bei stoff4you.de, bei thetullefactory.de ists etwas teurer, aber die haben auch welchen mit glitzer oder sehr weichen für petticoats! hoffe, ich konnte helfen!!

puh, da das vor über einem jahr war und ny alle zwei,drei wochen neu ausliefert, seh ich da eher schwarz...ich hab bei ner filiale in meiner nähe n paar wochen nachdem ich die gekauft hatte nochmal in der resterampe gekuckt, da war schon nix mehr, wollte noch mehr nähen damit, hat mich etwas geärgert... aber es gibt den als ganz normalen baumwollstoff in mehreren onlineshops!

hi!! thank you for the fave on my uniform shrug!! i made a pattern for a jacket. does your top pattern have sleeves and a high neckline? if so, i think it will be no problem, maybe you can add some more cm for comfort depending on what you will wear (top/shirt/whatever) :)

that sounds amazing! you should try that i would say!! your bustle skirt looks so great, i have to make one for me too! (the week should have some more days for sewing...) i like the idea with the corseted back, it always have some kind of ancient but sexy touch :) and i have to say i fell in love with cuffs, i don´t know exactly why, maybe it´s the thing that you can fold them down when it´s cold and still look cool or that they´re military style... so, i will definitely be the one who regards you for that coat!!
oh my, now i´m thinking about the fabrics for the bustle skirt i wanna make... i should finish my other projects first but who cares... :) there´s a huge market for fabric in my town in three weeks, i really looking forward to that, it´s always a special event for me, because you can find tons of exravagant fabric for less :) and meet lots of nice and scary people :))

hi sheila!! thank you for the fave and the comment on my count coat!! haha, i had to look up what you mean with big bird... but i got it now!! yeah, i think that will be a "huge" problem :) actually, the pattern wasn´t that difficult (i have to say that i LOVE patternmaking) except from the raglan sleeves, these were a bit annoying, they always tended to bulk under the armpit or had these bumps at the shoulder that made me look like a wrestler...

i think germany has something against the song you wanna show me, the link doesn´t work as well... stupid copyright laws i think...
i wasn´t that well with vegan diet because i couldn´t spend enough time for choosing and combining food the right way so every vitamin & co. is covered... at least i think it´s because of that, i´m always home late and can´t eat much and anything warm in the evenings (yeah, quite complicated) and at university i can´t cook :) besides, soja yoghurt wasn´t my very best friend :)) how did you refine your diet? or got used to be vegan? i´m really interested!! i think it´s good to be vegetarian but it does not solve the cruelnesses that are done to animals completely...

BUT i talked to my tutor and she said that i can open a small trade and don´t have to pay that much taxes and and don´t have these legal obligations!! Good news!!! i will make an appointment at our local tax office and discuss it there :) but i´m confident that it´ll work someday!! how about your business? is it working?

hi michelle!! dankeschön for the comment(s) on my uniform shrug!! :) actually, i thought about an onlineshop like dawanda or etsy, but i´m a bit torned because i haven´t much time (school projects, homework etc) for sewing items like this shrug or even smaller ones. i have some jackets i made in school but i think they aren´t good enough for selling... on the other hand, there´s much stuff hanging around and will never be worn... michelle, i have to think about it again now, i think you encourage me :)
