Hey thanks for your comment on my chocolate frog, the key to getting it looking so real is using Fimo clay in chocolate brown :D and I modeled it from a picture of a real frog so the best thing to do is find a good picture and study it, the legs where sculpted on seperately :)

hey just got your message on remembering hedwig necklace. The edges of the letter got burned in the oven by mistake and a tiny bit of the small owl was also burned, to acheive a burned effect without the need for flames and risks, use some brown chalk pastile dust around the letter so it gives it an aged burned effect. Thanks for the comment if you do a version id love to see it :D

hey I just got your comment on my odour be gonne project. I just wanted to highlight a few points why i did the project my hamster is virtually blind (so he never responded well to spot training because he couldnt find the corner) alot of russian dwarf hamsters are he relies completely on sound , smell and touch.
sadly he responds to touch but cant be plucked out of the cage by hand he has to climb out using ladders because he cant see my hands grabbing him. I literally use about 3 drops of lemon juice on the base of the cage and always rinse and about 4 drops of lime go in the wood shavings the saw dust was a typo i used recycled wood shavings. I dont use essential oils but my friend used to wipe them on the outside of the base of her cage for odour. my hamster hasnt suffered any ill health from using 4 drops of lime on the saw dust i massage it in and dont use zest i always advise its a guideline not specific to your own pet you need to fit it to individual needs, i do always say the main part of this project is scented dissinfectant. Im only young and i dont know a great deal about this but i did seek advice from a trainee vet who works in a pet shop with hamsters everyday she said use the citrus sparingly and if he is bothered by it dont do it again. sorry for the long comment i just needed to clear up a few things i missed of the How to :)

I do miss is very creative :D she teaches us new sewing techniques and they really do come in handy

hey, got your comment on my odour be gone question, the answer is I use pre squeezed lemon juice from a bottle very sparingly on the woodshavings, Its never irritated my hamster and I dont put zest in but it keeps the cage smelling nice. I have a russian dwarf male hamster (they have scent glands so they smell more sadly) Its never affected my hamster, so i wouldnt be sure. I really do only use a few drops the key is in soaking there cage or home in it bedcause lemon has a fresh scent. the saw dust is just a bonus :)

poor dobby :( I cant believe he is gonne but his house elfiness will live on through the stuffed toy lol

hey I know where your coming from tbh this appies , to hamsters, gerbils I think, some other small pets but strictly speaking its mostly hamsters. Hence the picture. I do say to owners this advise is just a guide line you must only do this if it suits your pets own needs :)

I test or wear all my projects to ensure they are suitable. My hamster is a hybrid between a winter white and a grey cambel dwarf so its white all year round lolz. Ok, so when i tested this with my hamster i tried it 3 different ways . I always soak my mini habitrails in washing up liquid and lemmons and this usually works a treat but if the hamster still smells i find that scooping out a little of the soiled sawdust helps stop the smell and above all orange zest helps too and if push comes to shove rub a little essential oils on the cage bars.

true but too be honest this was intended to stop odour in mostly hamster cages however the best thing to use is the scented saw dust yet with my russian hamster it works a treat and im not using essential oils its just some people prefer the scents and again zest isn't nessarcerry just the juice and only in small doses and I always recomend limes . thanks for the comment though i didnt know that about rats :)

well the coat actually was made from thick flet which stopped the fleas getting onto the flesh but i love the level of detail and the rod he is holding was to defend himself :) we do the plauge tonnes in a history clas but i love the way you've done this bravo

This necklace is so good I decided to make one too. But I didnt have the cage or the owl so I made a tiny one from fimo clay and wire and made a little owl to go inside gonna post the pictures soon thanks for the fab idea!

a great way to stop the ribbon freying is to apply clear nail polish to the ends it makes a glue that stops it from freying and makes it stronger .
