use the sister site of your wardrobe unlock'd to learn to make a corset, and read my recent corset to get the gist of how I make one to fill in any gaps. It's not too hard, however, does that corset have spiral steel in it? I've been using flat steel and it gives a very old fashioned corset look. I'm sure that's the problem though, and not my patterns lol. Flat steel is great for the centre back and centre front though. Good luck
heyo, thanks for the comments, i havent done anything lately since ive been at uni but i hope to ammend that over the summer. Most of the stuff I did was actually as a beginner, even the corset. Its not so hard if you put ALOT of time into something. and as luna said- you do need to read chobits. the dresses are divine. its originally made for old men in japan but everyone loves it. It has underlying adult themes though.
heya, I'm taking fashion design, just got back from a photo shoot with the third year today. Right now I like relaxing, my feet kill, and then I would like to play a video game, however I have trouser pockets to unpick, isnt life so fun
the tutorial is basically tube of material for the bust, make it 1 or 2 inches wider and lace at the back with eyelets. then get another tube of material. basically large wide rectangle and sew that together. join the 2 after pleating the tube one down. and then if you wanna make it into the short dress you can rouche it up, or my way which was to put 2 bobbles on the ends , cut off the excess and sew like mad. lol. it wasnt very professional and i really would suggest adding a couple of darts. thank you to the people who like my work though. i made a hanky skirt the other day and i might upload that later this week.
bwuahahaha awesome, in arkham asylum theres a mannequin head just like that with harleys head piece on it, just like that, really really awesome, you shud check it , and see her new outfit.
lol actually it was a 16ish week project (maybe less i lose track)and i got a merit for it, because my written work doesnt look as good presentationwise as my end outcomes. the model is sasha, i wish i was that thin lol. and I'm happy you think its harley quinnish, I'm just playing through arkham asylum and I might try making her new uniform, or maybe her old one too...i'm not sure. I could get away with wearing the new one because its a corset, but the old one would just make me look dumpy, i'd be more tweedle dee and tweedle dumpy than harley... boohoo...must lose....weiiiiiiight
they are uber comfy . soz to ppl about the 9 images I had a mess up when setting this up and forgot to save so it looked like they vanished oh well. To make them you get your stretchy material, so its about 3-4 metres, i think. Basically it was about 40 inch each side, work out where you want the ankles to be and make mini trousers at the bottom, that I pleated but it didnt do much lol. and the join to a point, so basically your doing a square with both legs at far corners and it goes up in the middle at the bottom. pleat the top down to your size, 35 inches in my case. put on a waistband, put on ankle cuffs and voila. Suggestion though would be to do it at maybe 60 round or less, 80 was a lil OTT and makes it volumous if you like how it looks though then do it at 80.
lol yes i have that book. they are definitely hand drawn by the look of it but the selection she chose are the characters in the back by professional artists. shes got a good eye for proportion though.
