About

I’m 26-year-old who has been 87 at heart since she was 8. I started crocheting when I was about 10 (thanks Mom and Grandma!) and took it up seriously when I was 19, and since then I have been in relentless pursuit of fiber art knowledge for the past seven years.

I crochet, knit, sew, spin, weave, embroider, and dye with varying levels of expertise depending on the craft.

Morale Fiber is my professional face, started in 2011 as I began to sell my handiwork at small festivals. In early 2015 I finally turned my hand to selling my original designs online and blogging about my experiences with my art. I draw my inspiration from folklore, mythology, fantasy, punk & DIY ethos, and nature-based spirituality as well as the beauty of natural science.

I currently live in Bloomington, Indiana with my wonderful partner where (when not hunched over surrounded by hooks and needles with yarn in my teeth) I also enjoy reading fantasy and mythology, discussing language and sometimes renovating it, cooking vegetarian, being terrible at yoga, glamping, and playing with small mammals (human or otherwise).

I never grew out of playing dress up.
