I am so loving this project, however, I don't where to get the beads. I am not sure if we have 'iron beads' in the UK. If anyone knows where I can them please let me know.
Gorgeous!! This design seems to be the trend at the moment, I am definitely going to make one for myself, not sure if I will have it for long. My friends may take it off me, Lol!
Very good attempt. I am thinking of making this to wear to my friend's wedding. I will probably use silver chain, I will lay out the black & gold chains then decide which ones go with the beads.
There are so many ways of making jump rings but I am not keen on anything to do with drills. Although, I do use a drill for twisted wire only because it is quicker!!
I didn't realise it was this easy to make Pumpkin pie. I have heard so much about this (I'm British) pie,I am going to give this a go.
I will invite friends over to celebrate our first taste of Pumpkin pie!!
What a beautiful tutorial and I love the way you displaced the bracelets on your hand, makes me want to make loads. No doubt your friends will want to take them off you, LOL
Thanks for the fave. So glad to finally have a Welsh person on here. I so love the accent and plan to go Wales on holiday in the next year or so. Preferably in the summer, I don't cold that well, but then lots of Londoners don't! LOL
Believe me you are super talented. Making rings is hard work, I am still learning but I am determined to continue as I want to start making rings to match my pieces and outfits. Will post on this site once I get round to it.
Lovely necklace. Can you or anyone publish tutorial for Chinese button knot cos I really don't understand it from the book I have got. There are no step by step pictures or clear instructions. Will really appreciate it.
I really love the way you made this necklace so stylish. Adding a thread and clasp definitely makes it very classy, I am sure you will be the envy of your friends!
It's a shame you don't have it anymore. You could think of it as trial by error, try a different technique. I tried incorporating chip beads in mine but it came off!! But I am going to re-string. The matching bracelet is ok but it doesn't show the buttons! I will try again which means you can't give up either, LOL.
Very good attempt, beautiful bracelet, love the combination. Accessorize uses low quality beads & sells its jewellery at such high prices. Handmade jewellery is definitely the best cos you get the best quality beads, you also design according to your own style.
I have been looking for ideas on a woody bead bracelet for a while now. I have similar beads in biege & red. They have been sitting at the bottom of my beading box for about a year so.
Thank for posting this, I am going to use the beads to make a bracelet after all.
Looks like the zipper may be the new fashion accessory. There is a similar project in one of my beading magazines. But I like this one better, in that you cut all the fabric off, it looks neater not tacky! Will definitely be trying this.
Tip:
To make it more secure, add a dab of jewellery glue (don't cut of the ends), leave to dry overnight, then cut the ends off, you are ready to wear.
Square, spiral & overhand knots. You can check out instructions on You-Tube under macrame or go to do a web site. However, I will recommend Beadabout.com, you can get loads of projects
Oops, I have beaten to it, was going to shop for more buttons but I have been so busy. I was going to make similar necklace, I will still go ahead but may try tiger or nylon wire instead.
I painted mine following a tutorial I found on You tube but they looked so hideous, I have put them away until I can think of what do with them. I was planning to make a necklace incorporated with seed beads, if I do change my my mind I may post here.
What a stunning necklace, the type I will wear on holiday. I really like the colour combo, this site is full of so many talented people. Keep up the good work everyone.
I love this. It must be a sign, I've just finished cleaning the bottle caps I collected. I'm going to get off my back side and go punch/flatten them. Got ideas for a necklace, watch this space.
Very good attempt for someone who is new to jewellery making. You can findings known as calotte (also as clam shells, I will be more than happy to provide instructions if you wish. Just let me know.
Thanks again for sharing, I think you will go very far, keep it up!!
Sorry but the boobs caught my attention before the necklace. And I'm not into women or a guy, nice necklace though. Word of advice take the picture on a bust, lay out a cloth, sheet or towel next time
I love working with spirals, I've used it with all types expect fone charms, this is such a cool ideal. I've got loads of coloured wire, great gift ideas. Thanks for sharing this, it is absolutely stunning!
Wot a very brill idea. Now I wish I hadn't thrown out all those tabs, I think I will mix mine with bottle caps. Will post once I have collected a few. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful use of fabric, made a similar one but it was a bracelet made with felt, sparkley & shop bought crochet beads. I will post my version later. Thanks later.
Lovely ring, thx 4 recommendation on book. I have got 2 useless book on beadweaving, the instructions are so unclear which is frustrating & a waste of money for me. May order book from Amazon.
I love using spirals in my designs but have not found any for a ring until now. Don't say not professional, pens, big blusher brushes are recommended as an alternative to ring mandrels why waste money. I love this ring, I will make it to wear to a birthday party next month. Keep up the good work!!
I actually made this pattern last summer, using brown wire with light brown oval beads. Yes the Jig is addictive, I have just finished making 5 different styles. I will post instructions at some point.

Well done. The wire stuff is called eye pins and the beads you used just plain bronze beads. Silver can also be used or seed beads.
Execellent tut, you should be proud.
Dee S. about 3 years ago
Good tut, the silver things are called eye pins, also ideal for dangles or linking in bracelets or necklaces.
Dee S. about 3 years ago
Thanks to everyone who faved this tut. I am really encouraged and will be posting more tuts in future, that is if you don't get too tired ...., LOL.
