It's associated with my snippets article: http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/snippets/issue17/booing
I shall put it in the description from now on :)
At the end you said "screw a charm loop in" but how could you screw it in if the clay is hard, you'd have to put it in before baking
Probably my main new year's resolution is to drink more water, I get really dry skin and I apply lipbalm up to 8 times a day! And I'd love for my skin to be clearer!
Yes, I agree, all the best people live here, we're just all horribly unlucky :P Where abouts do you live? I'm in the northern suburbs of Perth
So much for this being a how-to
Will definitely look into buying the book!
Feel free to read about my Booing experiences in my latest blog post: http://miss-shivi.blogspot.com/2009/10/art-of-boo.html
Shortandsweet15- It is up to you how many boos you send around, it is best to do more than one incase your selected household doesn't continue the tradition. Each household will then pass on the boo to two more people so that the amount of boos will grow exponentially.
bellbell- I live in Australia too! I'm planning on going Booing this halloween too, my neighbourhood is in some desperate need of Halloween cheer!
Ooooooh, looks very beautiful and not to hard to make=love.
Looks good Michele, I'll have to ask the mums if we have a skillet.
Just made these then but even with the oil the potato stick stuck to the paper. Anyway to stop this happening?
I see you never edited the pictures.....
awesome, I ♥ Coraline, such a beautiful film and in 3D it's even better!
really simple and yum, thanks michelle!
Did you cook the couscous with something else, as it looks very dark. ?
How come in this article it says she likes to hang out with her boyfriend but then she says"My WIFE..."???????
What's the deal?!?
wow, sucha beautiful and relativeley simple project. This would be a wonderful(and inexpensive) gift!
I don't get it, I think I missed the point at the end. Always been bad with comics! :P
awesome cat! They look like something you'd get at a really fancy cafe
I'm back on CO&K again. I've been absent for like 2 months!
Why don't you upload some of the things you've made? You make amazing stuff, show it to the world :P
♥ your most awesomest friend ever, Shivi
Neat idea! Will definietely be trying sometime!
This has given me the best idea ever! Thankyou for sharing!
hey there! My name's Shivi and I'm a fellow Perthian! Nice to see some other aussies on the site! :)
great idea! and super simple too!
I am drooling, they look so good and they are microwaveable! ♥ ♥ ♥!
hey!!!!!! I'm back on CO&K now, except I can't upload my avatar pic!!!!
You should go on the boards more, theyre sooo much fun!
lalala, go on msn, please!
awww, I heart your profile pic, adorable! I'm guessing the two little girls are your kids?
yay, thankies for the add! ^__^
This is perfect for me, it's my first day back at school tomorrow and I wanted to curl my hair but i wanted to know how to do it properly
Oh yes, I saw this on best fo 2008 on craftster! it's awesome! Makes me want to get start on ideas for MY school ball dress!
yes, I've signed up! who, knows maybe we'll be partners! :)
They're doing an alice in wonderland swap on the Swap boards, just thought you might be interested!
I meant to write badge not bade, lol =)
oh yes, the braceklet would have been awesome! I recently got an alice in wonderland top(with the white rabbit on) and I wore the bracelet, an alice in wonderland bade, heart earrings and this disney bracelet that my friend made me(it had disney themed charmed made out of fimo/sculpey). I was disney thmede that day! lol
wow, for an 11 year old you act very mature, welcome to CO&K! And the tutu and corset you amde are amazing! You rock, chickie!
Wow, that is a lovevly idea, sounds like you had tons of fun and what a great boyfriend to spend the day with you!
yeah, i didn't think so! :P
just wondering....What's an Atelier? =)
awesome, I want that tape!
how did you attach the leaves to the wire?
ooh, thanks for the tute! :)
that turned out really well, almost too well, I don't think I'd be able to eat it either! ;P
just what I was looking for, thanks michelle!
yay, another amazingly awesome way to use buttons!
Why is one of the materials- toothpaste????? o_0
hey there! I'm from perth too, nice too meet another local crafter! ^__^
You should use a slightly damp toothbrush and apply a nourishing lipbalm(preferably organic) afterwards. Brush your lips only about once a week so as not to damage them.
what is the launch????
did you use one of those kits?
Mum and I made a similar one last year but it was a house. I should post a picture of it some time....
cutie r.- huh? do you mean chopsticks?
haha, cool eyes :P
Carli- to some people those tutorials may not be so obvious.
In your post you said:"There's loads of tutorials on C O + K that I find unnecessary most of the time because what they are explaining is totally obvious". But then you go on to say " I don't go and put them down though.. "
You just contradicted what you previously said! You are putting them down but behind people's backs which I think is much worse. And btw, you seem to be the one getting "pissy".
Shyro-Personally I do not think this belongs on CO&K, go put it on ehow or something(loti)
you could maybe even stick the bubbl wrap inside an empty photo frame!
Me(on the left) as a punk tinkerbelle, about 2 years ago. Me and my friends went bowling beforehand in our costumes, just to embarrass ourvselves! loti
Hey stranger! Sorry I haven't been in contact for a while, been having a bit of a break from CO&K. I'm in the midst of writing you another letter so it'll be on its way soon!
thankies for the add! ♥
Hi Cat! :D
In my cooking class in school we're going to be having an Italian dinner for the parents later on in the year and we're trialling all these recipes at the moment and I got the teacher to let us make your "Soft Amaretti" when we were trialling all these different 'accompaniments' to go with coffee. And...everyone loved the amaretti! it was a hands down winner! and has been selected to be used on the night! So congrats on your awesomeness recipe! :P
how long does it keep?
I've added the honey garlic one, can't wait to try it!
I think you made a couple of typos in the following:"How to make it
dice the potatoes, chop the onion and add the lentils to a pan. Cover in water and let cook for about half an hour on medium heat until the lentils and potatoes are soft but not mushy."
It doesn't make sense, do you add the onions and poatoes with the lentils or not?
Sorry I'm sounding a bit picky I just want to be able to make this as it looks simple and yum!
this is great! I wonder if you could add faces.....
is that in cm or inches?
could you make a tutorial for one of your pouches/pencil cases?
I really like the simplicity look of them, I want one!
do you just slip the cord into the tube? or did you use velcro or something?
oh my gosh, this is like my dream book! I'll have to check out my bookstore for it
oh my, that is so adorable!
yeah, Cat emailed my the writer's newsletter and I'm not sure of what to do either! I'm thinking of just doing one of the interviews
your snippets article is awesome! I really want pullips and blthe's now! I loved the Xiao Fan in the picture.
I think I'm going to ask Cat about writing in the next issue of snippets.
okie dokies, seeya :P
I love their eyes! And apparently they change colour too! I want one soo bad but since they're a little expensive I can't get one but a file would be the next closest thing!
great article! I've previously seen green cleaning recipes but some of the ingredients were hard to source but yours are great!
....use a timer in the shower set for 3 minutes
....with most dishwashers you shouldn't have to rinse your dishes before you place them in the machine, just scrap off food scraps into the bin
....when giving gifts try and put the presents in giftbags rather than wrapping them so they can be re-used
....look for tissues, paper towel and toilet paper made from recycled materilas,in your supermarket
....buy clothes from the op shop when ever you can
....try and get a solar powered phone charger
....use the lamp in your bedroom rather than the main light, whenever you can as usually your lamp light will be of lower wattage
....if you always use the dryer try using the washing line every once in a while
....next time one of your house lights blow replace it with an energy saving bulb and gradually do this to your other light bulbs so that eventually all your lights are energy saving
....rather than just putting the newspapers in your recycling bin, add an extra little bin inside your house designated just for products that can be recycled so that every scrap of paper, cardboard, etc is recycled
....keep a bucket with you in the shower to catch excess water and use that water to flush your toilet
you should be able to import the project from your blog to CO&K, Cat made a special feature so that you could do so.
could you do a tut sometime? those pillows are fab!
thanks, I have my own way of folding undies but yours looks so much better,I'll definately be trying it!
yeah sorry, I'm already taken!
Could you make a tute for this? or if it's not too hard just explain how you made it?
I've seen heap os ppl with bought ones and I'd ♥ to make my own!
take as long as you like, I'll be waiting....
ha! that's sounds kinda creepy!
A couple of chickpeas would be good to give it a bit of veg protein, I think I'll have to try this!
You could have just posted it as a creation as there is no need for a how-to but nice images btw :)
could you do a lil' tutorial on it? and could I have a picture of the back to see what sort of badgeback that you used? You did it so well!
where's you fork? lol
I don't get it? what is it meant to make?
cool idea, where do you get the acetate from?
I'll have to make this when I'm a little older or add straps. I'm more or less flat-chested. aargh!
good for you! I hate it how doctors think drugging you up is the only solution
yeah, you said paperclip in the first 2 steps but I'm guessing you didn't mean that as the pictures only show safety pins
Happy Birthday Cat! Hope you had an awesome time and got lots of awesomely cool craft goodies! I wish I could knit you a brithday cake- that would be cool!
ha! awesome name! how did you come up with that?
hey, you're not 14 anymore!
oh yes, they were creations but they still explained how to make them as they're fairly simple.
I do like the buttons you chose, I'm off to get some!
no, there's about 2 others I think, that's why i asked if you were active as I saw you were in Perth and wanted to contact u. nice photo btw!
I must make your bag sometime, it's looks fairly easy.
So what got you into sewing?
isn't there an tutorial like this on here....I can't remember. You don't need to buy a shank cutter, you can just use normal scissors.
can you show us a photo of the inside/where you put your pencils?
are you still an 'active' member of CO&K?
hey, you live in Perth like me!
thanks for the friend request. hey you like a lot of disney movies, just like me! I plan to collect as many of the special editions ones that I can!
You know how you made all those versions of the velma hat, could you make a tutorial on how to do them as the original creator didn't do one.
I wonder if you could adapt it to make bigger bag, like a tote bag, that would be cool
oh my gosh, yeah! it's completely copied! people these days...
it's still an awesome tute
You can get them at a craft or scrapbooking store
you should have posted this as a creation as it isn't a how-to or are you planning to give us a pattern or something?
yay! a how-to! thankyou so much!
My friend K@ti made me some of these a while ago. I'll have to post a pic. She also made some out of starburst wrappers.
You can just use hot water straight from the tap and put it into a bowl instead of putting it in a pan.
I made these in my cooking class. We added bean sprouts. A peanut sauce is a great idea though!
you sound pretty cool. You'd be an awesome best friend -lol
sorry, I'm still not getting it. What is a woodburner and where do I get one?
wow- this is awesome Cat, I like smaller fitted shirts but some of the logos on bigger shirts are really cool. fab idea!
ha! I liked that!
that is really cool, I don't think there is any other tutorial like this on CO&K, well I can't find one anyway.
I am definately going to try this!
did you just cut up pieces of paper and randomly stick them on?
so you basically just carved the design with a calligrphy point, am I right?
thankyou, this is brilliant! if you used a patterned fabric for the background would the photos still work out?
oh okay, thanks!
the information I was referring to was the Cross of Nero- sorry for the mix up
oooh, my bad, you were right Carli(I googled it) but my explanation was an interpretation that others, had and used, so it wasn't completely wrong.
well, I learnt that the man who came up with the symbol, thought there would be world peace if all Christians were killed and he went round killing Christians, the symbol is a broken crucifix in a circle.
did you know that the peace sign means 'death to christians'? so I hope you're not a christian.
I want crutches now!!!!
why did you use 2 pieces of scrapbooking paper as opposed to 1? to create height?
what project is it based on? the link doesn't seem to be working
wow, sounds good! and free drinks is always a good sign
If you plan to make more can you pleeeeeeaaaaassssseee make a tutorial, those look super cute!
where abouts in the supermarket did you find the seasoning? with the herbs?
btw the omelet idea is great, must try!
yeah, to me it still looks silver
I don't have photoshop-too complicated for me but with the little photot editing program that I do have I can do that in one simnple step. Thanks for sharing it with everyone else who can use photoshop unlike me! lol
thanks for pointing out to us about the fabric swatches. I just typed in 'free fabric swatches' on google and there were a bunch of sites, it's very easy for people in US and UK to get free fabric, not so easy from Oz (like myself) although I did manage to find one site and have some fabric being sent to me as we speak.
Jewels, maybe you should do a post on the board about this, I'm sure ppl would be very intersted.
naughty naughty, you burnt the toast! xD just kidding!
These taste so good, probably not too healthy with all the oil but they're yummo! I did these for Mother's day and used a ♥ shaped cutter so it looked really sweet!
could you substitute piri piri with something else? I don't think they sell it here
I think you meant to spell recipe not Receipt!
nice idea, that looks funky!
hey Roma did you get the message i sent you?
a how to would be awesome, I don't usually wear hats but I'd definatey try on yours!
Any chance of you making a tutorial?
wow, customizing your clothes without sewing or snipping- ♥ it!
They had a tutorial for this on Martha Stewart as well as Crafty Crow, you should have just given a link! :I
I don't really understand what paper piercing is? Could you explain?
a ribbon wing! awesome idea!
thanks for the add,btw how old are you, I'm 14. Oh and I think the 2nd HSM is retarded a well, the storyline is pretty bad.
Hi, thanks for adding me, sorry I took so long to accept your request. I've really enjoyed some of your projects!
wow, I will definately get into thi in the future, very interesting
ooh, this brings so many possibilities!
another amazingly awesome tute Cat, you rock!
thanks for your link and btw your ATC is stunning! I'm in ♥ with babushkas at the moment
Congrats on getting a job at the craft shop, that would be awesome, you'll probably get a discount on the products too!
I'm sorry for your friend, that must be awful.
*hugs* to your friend
thanks for this, it looks very nice! and such a good tute!
wow! That is an awesome tute! Your photos are amazing!
snaps to you!
the mebossing idea is very good, I'll definately get using that, just one question what does this sentence mean-
"Let it some minutes try outside the oven but please don't tough it, because then it smears".I'm guessing you made a typo or something so could you explain it?
thanks for the lollipop idea- I can do so many things with this!
that is amazing! I've wanted to make something like this for aaaaaages! btw, ♥ your choice of fabrics
where can you buy gauge wire? a hardware store?
we just got a bread machine recently and it can make pizza dough, I can't wait to start using it! This picture makes me super hungry!
thanks for adding me- hope things get better, good luck!
Thanks for doing this, I've been waiting for a resin tute
I ♥ blythe's I really want one but they're super expensive.
I ♥ your doll, I mean Siobhan :)
god, that looks yum! could you use ground beef instead of the turkey?
p.s.-the official name is paper quilling
that is very clever and very simple- me likey!
cool, looks fiddly but so worth it in the end, thanks for the tute
NOTE TO EVERYONE- I AM NOT PREGNANT
Jocy made a mistake :D
thanks for the sweet comment, sorry I didn't get back to you earlier. I must mention I ♥ your quote-"I got my magical staff so don't make me sheep you"- lol- I am literally lauging- okay so it's not outload, it's in my head :D
P.S. I ♥ tacos and french fries *drools*
thanks for the link, I actually found that how to on google but it came up with 'error' and wouldn't let me view it but it worked fine when I clikced on your link so once again thanks!
I reckon, our other main soap- Home and Away is better, personally. I heard that they're thinking of killing Neighbours cause they haven't been getting good ratings.
I noticed you liked musicals, so do I, my friend K@ti(member of CO&K) hates them, she thinks they're too unnatural, I just think they're a lotta fun!
Ooooh, I remember when I took her to hairspray which she didn't realise was a musical, now that was funny, she was groaning all the way through and too annoy her even more I was singing the songs constantly afterwards.
P.S. ( '_' ) - blob says hi
I don't watch American Idol coz it's not really relevant to me as I live in Australia, I do watch Australian Idol when it's on though. Oh, I did actually watch the American Idol(On foxtel) auditions-hilarious! That's the best bit! lol
What exactly is spam? It looks gross though
Hey! I know where you got this idea from- Martha Stewart!!! lol :P
I'm not American- I'm an Aussie- even rarer on this site!
Nice try, you don't fool me!
I really love all of your creations miquette!
This is definately one of your best!
thanks for the comment- BINDI RULES!!!! lol
Cute website- I'm guessing it's still a work in progress as there isn't anything on the China page. You should dedicate a whole page on your site to your pets.
Hey, I think you're the youngest person on CO&K (Cut out and Keep)!
thanks for the idea- I've got one of those at home
could you make it without beer or substitute it for something else as my family hardly ever drink alcohol and I'm only 14
I just realised what your avatar pic is, it's the lizard from the Magic School Bus!!! I loved that show!
Oooh, decoupage using napkins! awesome idea! I've got some projects/creations to post soon as well, some I might just put on a blog post though.
seeya! ('-') the blob says hi
What an adorable little bird!
They don't have bagels in Australia :(
I just realised I've never added you as a friend!
Please accept my request!! :)
Here's how to post pictures on blogs and the message boards.
#1 go to www.photobucket.com.au
#2 create an account on photo bucket
#3 Upload pictures onto your account
#4 copy and paste the html code (underneath the picture you want) on the blog or board post that you're writing and voila!
Note- you might want to resize the picture by pressing edit on the phototbucket account if the picture was from your camera as usually it will be too big
You can also go to www.photolava.com, you don't need to create an account or anything but it doesn't have as many features, it's best if you're in a hurry. With photolava though, in the html code, part of it will be for a ad (this'll make more sense when you try it) which I highly doubt you want so delete the last half of it, starting from the <a
Hope this helps!!! you'll understand it all more once you take a look at the sites.
oh my! I just realised you wrote your description in another language- very clever! what language is it-wait! let me guess......is it Spanish? (I may be competeley off track with that!)
awww, thanks for the sweet comment, oh and I like your projects too, very good ideas.
yay! go us!!!
I think you meant to write accepted not excited. You and your spelling!
wow that is awesome-I have a ton of straws that look just like that!
yeah, how did you attach them?
OMFG!!!-too bad ppl already had your idea- that has happened to me a couple of times- so annoying!
thanks for the free pattern!!!!!
♥ it! Very brave of you Cat!
oh my, sorry about all the excess posts- I made a whoopsie
good luck on your haircut, please post a picture when it's done.
god luck on your haircut, please post a picture when it's done.
damn, not again! lol I was going to do a project very similar to this but as a badge and they were to be flowers, oh well, when I make them I'll post anyway
just to let you know, the 1st comment bug IS fixed, thankyou!
Never been a fan of tetris but I really like your idea of just using plain white sculpey and painting it(never thought of that) and then going over it in modpodge
don't tell the other person but I secretly think yours look better! shhhh! :P
hey, you were right about the whole 'all your favourite foods in a wrap'- those all are some of my fave foods!
yay!!! Cool photos, that isn't how I expected Tom to look like!
ohhhh, I get it! God I'm dumb! Thanks for the help!
Damn, you beat me to it! I was going to do a project on these, I like your wire idea though, :)
I don't understand how it joins up to form the makeup bag shape, please help!
thanks for the add, nice stencilling tut :)
Looks yummy- do you think it's pretty healthy?
Thanks- I've really wanted to know how to make felt plushies. btw, you replicated hello kitty very well, it looks just like her!
you must have been a scary child then- lol!
you won't be alone!
Neat idea- I ♥ your handwriting
very handy- I saw some sewing boxes in the shops but they cost like $30-40! and they were in an ugly fabric so I'm glad to see this project! You get my thumbs up!
The tissue cozy pattern is just what i was looking for- no joke, and the pattern was free!!!
My reason for wanting a tissue cozy was because i really like those little pre-done travel packets of tissues but after reading this book on being eco-friendly I realised it was a waste of packaging for such a small amount of tissues plus it was a waste of money, so this way, it'll look cute, be cheap and good for the environment! yay!
that is an awesome title- I've go to say that to people!
this will be very handy, now i just need some-one to post a pattern for a doona cover and cushions.
OMG- I ♥ softies!!!!
how was your day? :)
I'll check out the books- I've seen the movie of fast food nation which I didn't like- it was quite crude but I'm sure the book will be better- they always are!
At the moment I'm reading a book called How to Save the Planet.
The reason I write tester is to view the top comment on my profile coz it shows up blank- god it's annoying me- I've told Cat and Tom so hopefully they'll get it fixed. Maybe next time I'll just wite IGNORE.
another damn tester- just ignore these
could you use a hairdryer instead of the heat gun?
super cute- over here we call the string- scoobies and the crocodile clips- bulldog clips
wow, those look really well... real!
is there any other material besides leather that you could use- I want to make an environmentally friendly version :P
aargh! if only I had seen this project a couple of hours ago- it was just what I needed- god I am so mad at myself!!!
nice project by the way
oh my! that is so cute! oh my- imagine making tons of little mini ones!!!! I'm tickled pink- that is so cute- I could add faces to some of them too and turn some into badges, some into keychains! I could put jam or vegemite on them as well- oh my god!
I have to make that- I think i can figure our how to do it as well!
The music people at school would be so jealous!
that's seem pretty easy to make and it only takes 20 minutes!
Is the cheese blend, a sauce or a type of cheese?
Firstly, that is a completely awesome.
Secondly, I love your choice of fabrics
Thirdly, where did you get your red ds?!?
I've never seen red ones before
I can make this using the covered buttons project
er! we were good in the concert! we'd all improved heaps!
I can't make up my mind whether I enjoyed the camp or not-some bits were good but then some bits I hated. I'm still not sure if I want to do music next year....
I was a vegetarian for about 6 months last year but near the end of the year I gave it up, I missed certain foods too much. I do still eat the occasional vegetarian meal, I want to start eating more, don't know if I'd ever be full time vegtarian again though.
hey, tarrah! Thanks for the comment, sorry it's taken so long to reply, I've been at band camp.
I really ♥ your avatar pic-you look super pretty and I ♥ the 'increase the peace' motto. Hey! That would be an awesome slogan for a shirt or bag!
cool- I've been looking for a health bar recipe!
So what is D.I.?
Oh,I forgot,my name is pronounced Sha-von or Sha-vaun
God, that's sad, I don't even know which way to pronounce my name!
The main reason I hate my name is coz no-one can pronounce it! I have to explain to everyone on how to pronounce it and it's super embarrassing, especially when it's called out wrong at school assembely's. Oh and then I'll get the odd idiot who'll purposely say it wrong, sometimes my friends say it purposely wrong as well-that really gets me down.
As soon as high school ends I'm changing my name- no matter what! Mainly coz I'll be old enough and if I changed it in highschool, I'd probably get teased and it'd be really awkward.
in case you're wondering- my name is irish and to make matters worse my Grandma has the same name and I hate her!
I'm going to post some how-to's soon-a special type of badge and something to do with buttons. Sorry-I can't give too much away!
I seem to always be mid-way through projects coz I'm missing something so i can't finish it off or I'm lacking time, etc.
I'm going to band camp tomorrow so I won't be able to post any projects for a week. I'll be posting some versions of people's how-to's as well.
yeah, the name Summer rocks! Ironically I hate the season Summer but the word just sounds really pretty. I ♥ names that relate to objects/things, eg-seasons,flowers,gemstones
hey! I saw that your online right now, so what are you up to? oh, must mention, I love the mickey mouse bracelet!
Hmmm...just thinking of ways that I could improvise this....
it has much potential.........
K@ti-I think modpodge is kinda like the glue you use for paper mache but a bit stronger and it comes in a bottle.
It's also called Decoupage glue as well-I think. I think you can also just water down PVA if you can't find any.
Was that noodle pic already on it? If not, then how did you get it on there?
btw, so utterly adorable!
♥ it! Please scan the page!
You sound like me!
wow- that's given me a bunch of ideas!
Hi Cat's mum! lol
♥ the fabric! Note to self: Learn to quilt!
yeah, licking the thread helps but if all else fails i use this method.
Wow! Someone's been busy! ♥ your proijects!
Please be my friend! lol, I'm such a suck-up!
Hey Sherry, i saw that you can't figure out how to post pictures on the boards, so I thought I'd help you out:
1. set up an account on photobucket www.photobucket.com
2. upload your pictures on to photobucket (it'll explain how, on the site)
3. once your pics are uploaded you'll see a bunch of codes underneath them. Copy the HTML code(you'll see what I mean) and paste it on your board post and voila!
did that post before come up? or did it go blank?
Hey chelsea, i saw that you can't figure out how to post pictures on the boards, so I thought I'd help you out:
1. set up an account on photobucket www.photobucket.com
2. upload your pictures on to photobucket (it'll explain how, on the site)
3. once your pics are uploaded you'll see a bunch of codes underneath them. Copy the HTML code(you'll see what I mean) and paste it on your board post and voila!
looks good, I've been trying to find a good smoothie recipe so thanks!
I took the easy way out and printed your pic Cat!
In the future I'll make more of my own.
Thanks for making me your friend, your taste in craft sounds very similar to me.
btw, what does your avatar name mean?
I think you meant to write bracelet not necklace, lol
Shame i can't make it coz my parents like never have alcohol. :(
hmmm, yes.... I can see myself wearing these and they're quite simple too, I'm gonna try the bows a different shape and see how they look.
did u get my message???
yay!- another totally useful yet simple technique that was right under our noses but took a creative person to discover it.
Neato! it looks super awesome with the pins!
Must make it- maybe I could adapt it and make it a bit smaller.
that is awesomeness! I don't think I could sew that bag but maybe if I find a bag that shape with no design on the front then i could like stitch it on.
it's okay I saw the project on it
This just gave me a great idea!!!!
could you explain how you did it- I really want to make it!
awesome- ♥ your fabric!
how do you make covered buttons?
Not to burst your bubble but that project has been done before so in future make sure no-one has done your project but nice choice of colours though. :)
Congrats on the 10th issue of snippets!
Could you sometime in the future do an issue on being environmentally friendly/global warming?
Thanks for posting the top view pic!!!! :D

Coolies- if you ever make another one could you post pictures at each step?
Note to self: learn to crochet
That is really pretty- did you use a pattern for it?
♥ it- very retro/vintage
Cool! Could you post a picture of the top of it so I can see how it's a hooked together on the hoop?
That is so awesome!!!! It's perfect for me coz I don't like to just hold my water bottle in my hand, especially if it's one of those occasions where a water bottle is all I wanna take!
It looks like ketchup!!!! lol xD
does it tint your lips too?
I wanna thermos- well mum has one but I want a surf shop brand one (I ♥ my labels!)
at the mo' I have lots and lots of homework!
I should probably get started on it! lol
Thanks for the comment. I'm going to have to make a new one of those cat toys as I had the toy on top of the rabbit cage and the string was dangling down and they chewed it!!!
Sorry but I can't make origami animals but maybe in ur local library you can find a book on it.
Yep, I can log in! :)
so awesomely simple!
I want your miffy badge!
hey shivi this is kati :) you left your vasaline by the computer and your account logged on lol the fun I shall have :0
Yeah that looks fab! Don't get a lip piercing though, that would ruin the whole look-just forcing my opinion LOL
oooooooooh, I can use it as a business card holder!♥
Can't wait to try, I have some uber cool buttons in bright colours i can use!!!!!
Cute avatar pic!
Yeah I saw the eraser sculpey in my local craft store but I was annoyed that it was in like only 6 colours
Kati you need to be more social on CO&K, put posts on the board or do blogs!
from your bestest bossiest friend, Shivi
I was vegetarian for about 6 months last year, it was really easy at first but then i really missed certain foods, it was also coz i didn't have a lot of time to make yummy veg things so i was living off omelettes and veg pizzas(okay well I had some other things too!)
I still eat some vegetarian things I want to eat more though. My aim is to mostly eat vegetarian with the occasional meat and maybe in the uture I'll contemplate being veggie again.
Good luck to you though!
Look on the internet for info about eating healthy as a vegetarian, there is lots of info and recipes!
Kati would ♥ this! She ♥'s elephants, I ♥ it too though!
The thing I like best about it is that it looks exactly like the sesame st yip-yips
that is really awesome! Could you make another one and do a how to? pretty please?
2 yip-yips are better than one!
God, your're good at blogs!
Even these people who do seem to have a perfect life always have something bad happen to them so no-one can get everything they want, you just have to be satisfied with what you have. I'm not particularly happy at the moment but that's only coz of highschool. Once I finish it I will be free! I cannot wait!
One thing I do when I'm feeling upset is to think of the fact that some people are doing it 1000 times tougher than me and there is always someone who is worse off (I know that sounds horrible but it makes you feel better) but then you just think that you are lucky in a way.
But then I once thought to myself what about the people who are at the lowest of the low like the people who are starving to death or being raped. No-one could be worse off than them but then the people who are starving could say "thankgod I am not being raped" and vica versa.
There is always something to be thankful for.
(I hope what I've just said has made sense!)
Very smart! I ♥ it when people come up with simple yet genius ideas like the stencil guide, etc
wow that looks really good, it turned out really nice!
*gives a thumbs up*
aw, that is such a good selection of embellishments!
Please tell us how to melt the ruler!
I've got braces and they suck! Mine are really sore at the moment coz i got them tightened today. At first I didn't mind that I was going to get them but then when I looked in the mirror after I had got them put in, I burst into tears! I couldn't stop crying for several days, they just look so damn ugly! No, worse, hideous!
My braces don't look like everyone elses- they don't have silver wire with the little coloured squares- I have ugly brown wire and the rest I can't really descibe but it's, well ugly!!!
I haven't seen anyone else with braces like mine.
I can't wait till I get them off. I'm counting down the months- 14 left. I've had them for 4 months.
I'd say they look worse than what my teeth looked like before and to top it all off, the colours are really ugly and my othrodontist is horrible and everything he does to my teeth hurts!
I guess I'll just have them without the chocolate!
You're probably wondering why- it's coz I don't like chocolate!
Wow! that is really good!
Cool! Hey everybody, if you like this then you'll ♥ my Playing Card bracelet, type it into the search bar and check it out if you haven't already!
I mean instead of the chocolate
I like it, I'm going to incorporate it into something else....
So your're the Harry Potter fan who's been making all the HP crafts!
OOOH! I wanna make one!
Where did you get your clock kit?
Is their anything else you can think of to put on the banana?
What exactly is Mod Podge- is there some equilvalent thing to it coz I've never seen or heard of it.
Look it's me as a doll- I'm naked! LOL
okay well it's not meant to be me anymore but to me, it's still me - if that makes sense!
yeah yeah, I'm desperate- dela with it, oh and thanks for favouriting!
Did you you some sort of paint or a spraypaint?
Cat- you could scan your normal sized playing cards onto the computer and then resize them or find some on the internet and resize them. Stick some card to the back to make them stronger.
Oh I remember seeing these on one of Cat's blogs!
Who ever thought of this is brilliant!
I still don't get how this helps you keep in touch? :S
K@ti- for our names just make the letters smaller and then it will look fine.
I'm talking about the play card bracelet by the way.
There- I favourited your rubber bracelet project!
K@ti, can you pretty please favourite my project?
I'll favourite some of yours in return.
I ♥ this! It's 'uber' cute!
that will be so cool if people can show their attempts. Right now I'm working on the barbie shoe earrings and sushi necklace and the ice lolly magnets.
Nice blog! I'm going to go grab my sketch book!
Thanks for making me your friend. I really love the halter dress- I just gotta figure out how to make it. Cute avatar pic by the way! :)
Did you see the how to on the glue gunned buttons? I love it!
Cute! I'm really getting upset at my lack of sewing ability right now!!!! Aargh!
Cool! I'm gonna see if the op shops have any good plain headbands that I can use!
Wow! That is really pretty- I want to make a mini one!
I just have to figure out how to sew now! Well I can a bit but I'm not too good at following instructions on how to make things that involve sewing.
Yay! You did a how to- thankyou, thankyou, thankyou!
I forgot to mention- my real name is Siobhan(Irish) and there is no way you can find a necklace like that in the shops with my name so now I can finally have one plus it has bling!!
That is so awesome Cat and so easy to make- when I first saw the picture i thought "There's no way i can make that" but really it's so simple!!!! I just need to get some shrink plastic- haven't seen anywhere that sells it.
You rock girl!
Please please PLEASE DO A HOW TO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have to make this- even if it takes till xmas!
I'm slow at the whole sewing thing!
I'm so gonna draw this in my music book at school- all those bitches will be like- that's so cool! In their faces!!! hahahahaha
Cool project Kati- I'm gonna make some in pretty colours to attach to my new schoolbag(I'd better get a new school bag first!)
Wow these look really good! Must try them for new years!
Kati made one of these for me!!!! The one in the picture is actually mine- come to think of it- she hasn't given it back yet!
Yeah it's really versitile!
@@@:u) like my marge simpson smiley face?!
K@ti I had already heard about the chux magic erasers and I'd seen them in the shops and we had also got a free sample of them in the mail- the info i got from you was that they cleaned shoes brilliantly. Just thought I'd let you know :P
I might try it one day too busy to figure it all out now!
glad you think this site is awesome- coz it is!!!!
I'm addicted to it! plz add me as ur friend!
haha! I've been putting on my xmas cds while doing chores- it gets them done a lot quicker!
That's not how you spell jewellery K@ti!
Kati- i like ur display- i was just being silly!
How do you get those love hearts to come up on your writing?
oh whoops i got it mixed up- bite me is ur display pic.
i still like mine though!
it's not overdramatic it's cool.
speak for yourself- I mean "Bite me"?
The Harry Potter party sounded awesome! What is AFO though?
You should post a project on how to make them!
I meant 'two' not 'too'
Cat you didn't mention how many it served. I made it anyway and I got 3 meals out of it by putting in 3/4 cup dry rice. I've found that the amount of rice that would be enough for one person equals the amount the meal would serve for.
eg- if 1/2 a cup of dry rice would be enough for 2 people in your family then the meal serves too. But if you want the meal to serve like 5 people then you might need to add extra of the other ingredients.
I have made one!!!! Note to people making one, if you are using a sheet with a pattern or colour on one side start with the blank side.
Cotton candees thinks i look like Audrey Hepburn- coolies!
P.S. u smell bad
Oh my god! I wonder how much of that she actually uses and how quickly
Sorry it wasn't meant to sound mean, I was in a bit of a bad mood that day. Once again sorry!
Thanks for favouriting my project(button badges) and good blog too! Check out mine as I've written a new entry.
Oh and what would you even use it for?
You didn't mention anything about the pipe cleaner...
It's very rare that that actually happens and that's only if the animal eats a lot of it and I mean a lot. Like say if you were giving your rabbit a big wad of newspaper everyday. It's like with dogs and grapes, a couple aren't going to do anything but if the dog swallows a whole box then they can make then get liver disease- this is very common for dogs on vineyards. Anyway, enough of my ramblings-in other words- it's perfectly fine every once in a while. And just to let you know my local animal shelter(RSPCA)give newspaper to their rabbits on the odd ocassion.
I totally love the favourite thing- I've favourited 34 projects so far!
I saw it and i was like- I love it!
I'm probably going to amke smaller ones and maybe make a few ones for brooches!
Luv your hair!
Ooh this looks nice, most cakes and slices they have at the coffee shops I don't eat so this'll be something new for me.
I'm gonna try this sumtime. I'm getting sick of bought bread.
you can buy the ring bases in jewellery shops
Yeah thought so
How long do they take to make?
I was trying 2 put the eyelet through all of the paper instead of just the card- no wonder i couldn't fit much paper in!
Yay! u favourited my project!
If you got a wholegrain bagguette it would be uber healthy!
Looks really simple, healthy and most importantly...YUM!!!!
Looks yum, kaiti made them and they tasted really nice except she didn't have any pesto so she used this veggie spread and she put in tomatos instead of onions and lost half the tofu down the side of the fridge as she dropped it!
I plan to make them now but what is RED pesto?
On a sunday morning my comfort food is a slice of fresh sourdough bread (the really good stuff you get from the bakery) with a thin bit of butter topped with vegimite and swiss cheese and melted under the grill. Pure heaven!
and to make it even better I like some freshly squeezed orange juice and mixed berry cous cous( it has cous cous, apple and cranberry juice, cinammon stick, orange zest, fresh raspberries and blueberries, strawberries, mint leaves-to garnish, greek yoghurt and golden syrup)
Wow, I really love elizabeth's apartment- it is so beautiful!
and I have one of those plain IKEA drawers that Polly had but now i have the perfect way to decorate it. There's no point in me posting my craftspace as it's very boring and I've only started crafting recently so there isn't much there.
Yeah, if i make 1 it'd definately be a mini one as the big one looks a little weird but love the idea!
That is pretty cool- shame I only like ice-cream cakes!
Nah, I love it now!
I'm the kind of person who judges a book by its cover, I really need to stop it!
it's not lewis or loveland is it?
if it's not then don't worry
What is ur last name?
I'm going to make this 4 my mum 4 xmas. With franjipani oils or lavender, she likes those smells
to get a perfume bottle you could just buy a real cheap perfume, empty it, clean it and then use that for it.
How do you get that pretty font?
You got more friends
So much for not needing anymore!
Yeah, I love the wolf and sugar the dragon is really cute. Oh and can't forget the adorable button unicorn, FAB!
Thanks for writing about the books, I'll definately check them out some time...I'll get back to you on it.
Kati, you dipstick, it says white fimo in the materials and in the instructions!!!!
oh yes you do!!! oh yes you do! oh yes you do! oh yes you do! Sorry just going a bit OCD but well u know that's just the norm for me.
I still prefer my own pin board- we don't call it a bulletin board in Australia
They have nando's in Australia too, the food is so good. It definately deserves to be called a fast food "restaurant".
The tortillas look yum by the way, I probably wouldn't add so much cheese myself though.
Thanks for the comment you left me, really inspiring, it's definately got me thiinking, thanks.
OMG, I totally forgot to mention, love the pink dragon, adorable, I love it,literally! I would definately buy one if that was for sale in the shops!
Wow, you sound really interesting, call me Shivi my actual name is Siobhan but I hate it so my nickname is Shivi. Hope you add me as your friend
Doesn't that then defeat the whole purpose of having the little coasters, coz I mean you can stick anything up with the sticky tac
Sorry, i meant- how did u stick down the pictures that are in the middle of the bulletin board?
How did you stick down the posters in the middle?
You need more friends k@ti!!!
Hi I'm Shivi. Nice to meet you
*Pretends to shake your hand* LOL
Now judging by ur pic, ur either into christmas or the whole religion thing, which is it?
Hello and welcome to CO & K!
U need to add interests.....
Hi there, I hope you'll add me. Welcome to cut out and keep by the way, you'll love it here( I do anyway). I like that you like all the pretty pictures I like that too except I don't stick em' on my wall coz I recentlt fully redocorated my room and everything is all matched and colour co-ordinated so I can't have anything clashing on my walls. Yeah, I'm a bit of a neat freak!
Anyhu, have fun!
Hi thanks for adding me. Nice picture of yourself.
P.S. I like yellow too and I'm not particularly into sci-fi either!
It would have looked a lot better if you hadn't used the chain and just a thin piece of elastic.
What's resin and where do you get it?
hi there, someone who is really into their pets, go you!
They look pretty funky but I'm not really a biscuit fan.
They weren't sugar coated, they just looked like that coz all the varnish was peeling off. We used a craft varnish called gloss varnish, should we try a hardware store type?
She writes all over her bedroom walls in chalk, literallly everywhere! And I've written a couple of things on her wall too(eg. Kaitlyn smells!).
I like ur avatar better than that happiness/rainbow one which I didn't get. What site do you get them from?(write back in a message to me via CO & K)
P.S. Barbies and chickens will someday rule the world!!!!
OH I guessed Kaitlyn............
Yep all green, I've never actually seen a real orange one(only in pictures)
Thanks, the idea was courtesy of Kaitlyn Couch
My first project, so proud!!!!!!
You need to add interests....
Looks really hard!!!!
Coolies! Pity they don't have orange pumpkins in Australia, ours are green on the outside!
Yum! Do they taste like hot cross buns?
I made some! They don't look as cute as yours but they're still pretty awesome!
Me and my friend have made some, the buttons were school themed. There were scissors, rulers and pencils, so cute!!!
OMG, someone who's read the dog in the night time book, that is so good!!!! Go you!!!!!!
That book is so crazy but cool, luv it!
The wood doesn't set fire as my friend and I tried it today. We made green ones. We didn't actually use fimo as in Australia they don't have it. They have Sculpey which is exactly the same stuff. When looking for the stuff just look for a clay that you can bake.
I am so going to make one of these. I saw the other fortune cookies(edible ones) and liked them but once they were eaten they were gone so this is perfect. My friends and i are having a craft sleepover and thi will definately be there!
I might make some of these but just black and white 1's
