How did you find CO+K and why did you join?

Like most students, money is definitely an issue. I like unique pieces, one of a kind so to speak and creating your own clothing/jewelry was always a passion of mine. One day I took to the internet in search of tutorials that would teach me skills that I don't have and would benefit me in this area. This was the beginning of my CO=K obsession. There was no other site (to my knowledge) that had the variety and imagination that this network obtained, so after months of browsing and re-creating projects, I felt the strong urge to join and produce my own tutorials for others.

What projects are you currently working on?

I am currently working on a brand new jewelry line that I intend to launch on my website that will be available to purchase worldwide alongside prints of my artwork, framed or canvas and throw pillows of some of my fanged friends.

What does your craft space look like?

My craft space is abnormally tidy. It is basically like walking into a hospital/ asylum, which in some ways you can see the benefits. A room where everything is white, and a few intricate objects placed around as a source for inspiration. Bird cage', antique books, mourning pendants, dream catchers and the odd deathly vampire portrait here and there. On the wall to the right of my desk there is a large open window with a view of the hills in the distance (it is not as beautiful as it sounds but it is nature nevertheless).

Which tool or craft supply do you use the most?

When I am producing a project for CO+K, all my Polymer Clay pieces were created with FIMO soft clay and FIMO staedtler tools.

What do you craft along to?

Oh where do I begin?
There is possibly not one second of my life where I am not listening to music or watching some horror driven production. I have been obsessed from an early age with a specific band from Finland known as HIM. Some other music inspirations range from the theatrical Alice Cooper, the unique voice of Corey Taylor from Stone Sour and the wayward victorian woman herself Emilie Autumn.
Not only music but movies are a huge part of all my artwork. From The Hunger Games that inspired my Mocking Jay pendant replicated from the pin featured in the movie, to every Tim Burton film that has been produced. I have a huge collection of movies so my list would be endless.
I am not much of a Television addict, however a few shows that have earned a place on my obsession list are Buffy the Vampire Slayer, True Blood, Vampire diaries and last but not least, The Big Bang Theory. To name a few!

Favorite Craft

I have been studying Illustration for 4 years and finally this is my year of graduation and it is the same year I discovered my love for Polymer Clay (specifically FIMO). My artwork requires countless hours painting digitally, so the break away from a computer screen was a delight. With Polymer Clay, your imagination can run wild, from jewelry to sculptures to figures/dolls. My favourite things to make at the moment are charms that can be used on necklaces, bracelets or even just for decoration.

's Top Crafts

If you could learn one new craft or make anything, what would it be?

I will forever strive to finally master the perfect sculpture/bust of Edgar Allen Poe and a few others that will once complete a series created from Polymer Clay.

Who are your crafting heroes?

If I were to be honest, the members of CO+K that produce excellent detailed tutorials and produce beautiful creations are my inspirational heroes.
