I love your version! And your simple styling really makes the look. I agree with PinkWeeds that these usually look over the top, but worn with a sleek black turtleneck, meee-ow!
OMG, genius to use it for fixing an iPhone cable! Why do they DO THAT?!?! The ones from the dollar store are better than Apple's. I've wanted to try resin casting for a long time now, so I would use it to make molds. I was thinking about buying dental agar, and this Sugru stuff may or may not be better.
Holy crap, a clothing line promoting the normality of abnormality??? KUDOS! I've struggled with depressive anxiety for most of my life, and every day is a challenge. When I get really bent out of shape, I do something constructive, like clean the house or do a handicraft project like embroidery or knitting. My positivity mantra is basically "If I were normal, I'd be boring." So many uber-creative people had/have mental difficulties. Albert Einstein, Vincent Van Gogh, many of my family members! In all, I'd rather be unhinged and creating things than oatmeal-bland-boring living a daily-grind existence where my recreation is television. I like to eat oatmeal, not be it.
We do some hardcore camping up here in northern Ontario! My favourite on-site recipe is reliant on successful fishing. For four people, you need 2 medium sized pike or walleye, two large bass, or 4 medium bass, butter, a bag of potatoes, a red onion, fish crisp (or pre-made flour and spices mix in a zipper bag), a two-burner propane camp stove, and two equal sized frying pans that fit together on your stove.

In one pan, fry coated fish filets in copious amounts of butter. In the other pan, fry sliced potatoes and onion in copious amounts of butter. Best eaten after a hard day of fishing :D
Blueberry smoothies are the way to go! All you need is a fruity frozen yogurt (like raspberry), frozen Canadian wild blueberries, and a blender! Delicious!
Holy cow, I think my fave part of the preview on laurenceking.com is the example wardrobes! That is so genius, and really shows the versatility of the pieces in the book! I'm going to see about borrowing a copy through my library, just to see the variations Rosie comes up with for each style :D
One of the flip-clips was loose and had to be adjusted before it would sit snugly on my collar. To do that, you simply remove the flipper-clipper and bend the central spar as in line as possible with the outer spars but still lifted enough that you can reassemble the earring.
The screw-backs are trickier. I find the hook needs to be bent towards the earring slightly each time I wear them, as the act of tightening the screw pushes the hook outwards.
I'd send one to my musician friend who recently had surgery to remove cancerous tissue. 3 weeks after the surgery, she was back on stage! She's an inspiring and inspired woman, and deserves every smile she can get!
Love it! I recall seeing something similar elsewhere, possibly on Craftster. Good job! You should add a strap of some kind, as you may like it better it if's easier to carry around.
I usually use a medium-sized silver vinyl two-strap bag that is currently rather empty :P It contains:
-My black leaping-frog wallet that my cousin got me for xmas many many years ago
-a piece of mail
-my key ring (house key, mail key, pocket knife, mini flashlight, mini clicker-pen)
-10 cents Canadian Tire Money (two 5 cent bills)
-hot pink Avon lipstick
-watermelon Burt's Bees lip shimmer
-3 seed packets (beets, carrots, burdock)
-empty bank envelope
-Burt's Bees lip balm
-nail file
-empty metal cigarette case
-mp3 player and headphones
-Bubblicious gum wrapper
-business card I'm holding onto for my BF
-4 expired Subway Scrabble thingies
-1 in-case-of-emergency tampon
-a single large blue plastic gem
-a scrap of paper that says "Monday" on it that I have no idea what it is from or for
-lint, tobacco flakes, tiny granules of rock (from rock-collecting) and assorted pet hairs
It also has a vintage Sarah Coventry apple pin (called "Burgundy") on the zipper pull that my Mumsie bought for me :D

Rocks are my favourite, but wire-wrapping will only get you so far, so I want to learn how to drill holes into rocks!
