I have always been interested in crafts and art and first started trying to make clothes for myself when I was 11. I really love making things as it allows me to have things which are utterly unique, and it's fun! I do a bit of everything, sewing, papercraft, origami, art, jewellery making...
Fashion, and making clothing, makes me feel like nothing else. I talk about it and it gives me a sense of exhilaration, and I love how much can be expressed through clothing. Sometimes I feel bad that I'm choosing to make clothes instead of helping people or doing something to change the world, as fashion is superficial and capitalist and money grabbing, but I have this irrational love for it and it makes me so happy. Besides, I'm not interested in the elitist side of fashion, I want people to express their personalities through their clothing, and my personality and my dreams, and just make beautiful things which people feel joyful to own-whatever their size or shape.
I'm a very girly girl, I love pink and I really love the shapes of clothing from the 1940s and 1950s- pencil skirts, little puffed sleeves, seamed stockings... I love reading and writing and I'm looking for independent magazines to write for. I'd also really like to sing in a band and I'm always trying to write songs. I love cocktails and dancing and having fun. I have a lovely boyfriend who I'm very happy with. I'm also really interested in the environment and how we can preserve it, I recycle and I try to buy organic stuff. I am also quite political, I'm very into human rights, anti-war, anti-sweatshops, pro-womens rights....
Well I think I've covered all avenues there! Add me as a friend if you like the sound of me. x x x

Thanks for the link, I'll have to get some when I get a few more pennies in my purse. It looks like the best stuff I can see on ebay as well, well spotted.
A cherry Print dress I'm very envious, do post pictures up when you're finished I'd love to see it. :D

I'm the same I've been making stuff and just completely forget about pictures till I come on here. Hoping to have a crafty day tomorrow though, got lots of bits and pieces to play about with though so should be good.
I'll have to have a look on ebay for the net for fascinators, I can't believe how expensive it is though, I've been using tulle and wrapping it around to make it all poofy. Hopefully I'll get round to making a how to at some point lol. :D

Yeah, that is a sort of pain. I used wear these sweet pencil skirts in high school and all the OLD teachers would try to set me as an example for how the dress code should be. it was pretty funny but embrassing at the same time because everyone cool thought I was lame. ^.^
