About

I'm just an artsy, craftsy, dirty hippie of a mama of two little girls... I love anything to do with arts and crafts, including painting and drawing, and most recently crocheting. I'm still at a very basic level but I've made a couple of projects and I'll likely share crochet more than anything else simply because I've got two little girls and crochet doesn't make a big mess that takes precious time to clean up after!
Not that it *really* matters... but I'm pagan, with interests in both greek and celtic myth and pantheons, and belong to a druidic grove which is part of ADF (add a .org if you're curious). I love most things mystical and magical, and all things down to earth, and everything green and natural, things I can touch, taste, smell and experience. :)
I also have an awesome hubby, Bill, and two cats. I love music and singing, poetry and reading, anything artistic... and I do web design, which I hope to open a small business doing soon.
Feel free to leave me comments, I love 'em. Constructive criticism always appreciated... just do it with kindness, k?

Recycling thru Reusing

Posted by Mama Zoe on November 14, 2008 15:37 | Continue reading this blog...

Been looking through all the amazing re-used item projects on here, and getting inspired. You people are all awesome, and I wish more people would be as creative as you. I want my kids to enjoy a cleaner world when they grow up. :) Maybe little by little we can accomplish that! Every little bit counts, right?
Right now I'm in the process of making some newspaper purses (how-to's will be posted when they're finished, cuz I'm adding to them)... and using the plastic bag yarn-making how-to's on here, I'm making some plastic yarn out of newspaper bags - so they should be nice and colorful, though my loops aren't as big so there's more knots.
Anyone else doing some good RRR stuff?

Hey,
Some more of us are wondering about the page swap as well. I know one can get busy these days therefore CO+K can get low on the priority list, so I thought maybe we can continue it until you come back.
Hope you're doing ok though, since it seems you haven't been on lately so hurry back!

Sorry, no pattern ´cause I´m more of a free styler. But the earflaps are not that difficult. You just have to crochet rectangles and...lessen (?) the stitches at the last two (depends on how thick your yarn is)rows. Now when you crochet around the edges you get this round shape.

I´m still at war with english crochet language, but maybe this helps you?

That's okay! I completely understand! There's a lot going on these days! I'm so excited about this swap, though! Heh. Of course, I want to make one of everything, so....I guess I'll have to put my thoughts in order! But no worries on the frilly, girly, pink stuff. The closest you're likely to get to girly is rainbow and much more likely to get something tye dyed. Tee hee. I'm such a hippie child!! But this is good, because it's looking like you are too!!! :D
