Tell us a bit about your home and what you love about it the most?
Our home is a 1950's cape style home. We've put a lot of work into it since we purchased it in 2010 and it's finally at a point where it really feels like "home" to us. I love that it's warm and cozy. It has a transitional style - combining both traditional and more contemporary elements. I think the fact that my husband and I have done the majority of the work ourselves makes us extra proud of how far it has come!
What was the first DIY project you did to your home or first thing you made for it?
The very first thing we did was remove A LOT of wallpaper and paint all the rooms. At the time we had never painted anything or knew how to remove wallpaper so that was a steep learning curve in itself!
Do you have any tips for staying tidy & organised?
Have a place for everything and put things back as soon as you're done with them.
If you could tour any celebrities home, who would it be?
Jennifer Aniston. I love her style!
If you had three wishes, what changes would you make to your home?
1. Bigger kitchen
2. Have an open concept first floor
3. Add a garage
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
I love to paint so I whip up paintings every so often (check out my easy watercolor art on the blog!). I also love to shop, watch movies and do Pilates.
