When did you first start sewing and how did you learn?

I am a self taught(of course all credits to online tutorials and classes). When I was in my high school my grandma taught me to thread the machine. I made some wallets and bags on my own by imitating things around me using reused fabrics from curtains and frocks. After that there was a long break until last year. That’s when I started sewing clothes.

Can you remember the first thing you made?

With my new machine it was cushion covers for the entire cane sofa set in my drawing room.

Do you have any favourite pattern designers or celebrity sewers?

I love the burdastyle patterns.

What's your sewing room like and how do you organize your stash?

It’s a small room. With a small rack to hold my stash. And another shelf where I house all my accessories and notions in cardboard boxes. There is also Dyumee my dress form standing right behind me as I sew :D

What music/podcasts/TV shows do you love to stitch along to?

Nah ! I prefer silence as I sew. It helps me finish my projects faster and more accurately.

Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?

Blogging , Drawing , Painting. I spend a lot of time Recycling stuff lying around the home, adding color to them and making utilities out of them.

Is there anything else you'd like to add?

I blog at http://thehobbyharbor.blogspot.com, where I share all my sewing adventures and crafty ventures. Do stop by and say a hello. I would be very happy.
