When did you first get in to cooking and do you remember the first recipe you tried?

I have been cooking ever since I could remember. My father was a successful restaurateur and I grew up working in his restaurants. My first recipe I can remember trying was peeling, breading, and frying soft shell crabs when I was 9 years old!

What's your kitchen like and how do you keep organized when cooking?

My kitchen is very well organized and is set up for success. I have two Big Green Eggs set up on my deck with an outdoor stainless steel table. The best way to stay organized when cooking is to prep (mise en place) everything first before cooking!

What tips would you give to someone wanting to become a better cook?

Try, try, and try again. Experience is everything in the kitchen. If you love to cook then the rest is easy.

Who would you invite to your dream dinner party and what would you cook for them?

I would love to have Steve Raichlen over for some Asian influenced BBQ.

Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?

In addition to cooking I play bass guitar in a local band (Hand Painted Swinger).

Which cooking blogs do you love to read?

BigGreenBrotherhood.com, AmazingRibs.com, TastingTable.com, seriouseats.com, and pinchofyum.com are some of my favorites.

Is there anything else you'd like to add?

Thank you for reading my recipes!
