Roller Derby of course takes up the vast majority of my time. We have mandatory practice 3 nights a week, but 6 available practices that we all try to get to. When I'm not skating, knitting, or working, I like to write, read obsessively, and play with my miniature horse.
Easily knitting. It's the one where I'm the most
relaxed and happy.
Sometimes we have fairly quiet nights at the shop. I'll be in the back on hulu.com watching TV on my laptop and knitting. I'm a big fan of knitting to mindless tv. It's always Sunny in Philadelphia is a good one. If I try to watch something like Battlestar Galactica I get too caught up and can't focus on my knitting.
When I was really little my Grandma taught me to crochet. My brother and I would make "snakes" which were really just 20 feet of cast on rows in garish acrylic yarn.
I'm a fan of little items like hats, gloves,
and bags. Anything you can make quickly is fun, though once in a while I like to sit down with a good chart and graph something out that's a
real brain teaser.
My current project is to try and find something to do with old derby wheels. If any gals out there have ideas, hit me on the website! I've been considering everything from picture frames to coffee tables!
