When did you first start crafting and how did you learn?

I can't remember a specific instance where I started crafting. My mom did lots of crafts and went to craft fairs when I was little, so I was always around crafts and sometimes I helped her with her projects. I immersed myself in crafting after I got married and realized our apartment was looking very sparse.

Can you remember the first thing you made?

Not really. I made things like plates and crafts at Sunday School and VBS, but I think the first thing that I made on my own was a knitted scarf. It had fuzzy yarn and I think it's still hidden somewhere in my parent's house.

Where do you look for inspiration?

The alpha and omega of all crafting sites....Pinterest. I also get inspiration from other blogs and from Craftgawker.

What's your craft space like and how do you organize your supplies?

My craft space is pretty much anywhere I decide to set up for the day. We don't have all that much space in our one-bedroom apartment, so I use what I can. Some days it's the table, some days it's the island in our kitchen, and frankly, some days it's on the floor.

As a type-A person, my current level of supply organization leaves something to be desired. I have things in manila folders, old ice cream buckets, a boot box, and more. My dream one day is to have my own crafting room.

What music/podcasts/TV shows do you love to craft along to?

My husband teases me relentlessly because I like to watch TV shows a second (and sometimes third or fourth....) time through. I watch The Office, 30 Rock, Scrubs, Dexter, Lost, How I Met Your Mother....anything that suits my mood for the day.

As far as music, I throw on my Jack Johnson/John Mayer Pandora station and I'm set to go!

Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?

I've dabbled in almost everything as far as crafting goes. Woodworking, canvas art, calligraphy, paper crafts, holiday decorations. For the most part you name it, I've done it.

Outside of crafting and blogging, I love to read. I enjoy spending time with my husband, my family, and my in-laws. I also enjoy swimming, but I don't do it as much as I'd like.

Is there anything else you'd like to add?

I have a crazy cat named Oliver who sometimes ends up in some of the pictures for my blog because he's a busybody.
