What are your hobbies?
I spend time with my husband and kids. My daughter is getting married next summer at our home, so right now our collective hobby is getting ready for that. We also love home improvement, traveling and camping.
What are your favorite crafts and what's your craft space like?
I'll try any craft once, but I love to sew. Fabric is so pliable, it's fun to see what I can make from it. I discovered a few years ago that I really enjoy designing my own patterns.
What do you craft along to?
I listen to music while I craft. It keeps me focused because I can't hear the alerts dinging on my phone and computer, so I'm not tempted to run and check them!
What was the first project you ever made?
I was raised in a creative home, so we were always making something, as far back as I can remember. The first time I remember sewing was when I was three years old. I was allowed to add some stitches to a quilt made by my grandmother that some of my aunts were quilting.
What are your favorite items to make?
I always seem to gravitate back to accessories. I've also been into making stuff from felt lately.

My husband is also creative, so my kids have been raised in a DIY atmosphere. Any time we need something, the first thing they want to know is if it's something we can make. Now that they're pretty much grown, it's one of my proudest parenting moments when they make things themselves.
