What are your hobbies?

Besides crafting I like: trying crazy makeup, playing my pink acoustic/electric guitar, and making cake-pops. I also enjoy reading about computers and the universe.

What are your favorite crafts?

Sewing, making zipper flowers, furniture/home decor makeovers

What do you craft along to?

I usually craft along to Pandora or Musicovery. My favorite playlists are: Oh Land, Little Lion Man, and Neon Hitch. I like crafting along to Planet Earth because the scenes and music are so inspiring!

What was the first project you ever made?

At my 5th birthday party I made a snow-globe with a baby food jar. It had a miniature flocked bear, glitter, and distilled water inside. I still have it. :)

What are your favorite items to make?

I have been known to jump in recycle bins for old books/glass bottles/magazines to use in my crafts. I like to repurpose materials because it prolongs the life of it and can save it from a landfill, if it's not recyclable. Also, my favorite craft materials are: metal zippers, vintage buttons, and glitter.

Is there anything else you'd like to add?

I am a Virtual, Technology and Design major, and my final year focuses on augmented reality. Augmented reality overlays virtual elements on the tangible world, which enhances our perception of reality. Might sound abstract and vague, but I want to enhance the realm of DIY/Crafting with the aid of augmented reality in the future. Guess we will all have to wait and see!
