Tell us a bit about your home and what you love about it the most?
My house is 2 story and it has a very open floor plan on the main floor so I love how open it feels and I can see my kids where ever there are.
What was the first DIY project you did to your home or first thing you made for it?
Our house was a short sale when we bought it and needed a lot of work so we had to replace ALL of the flooring because it was covered in pet stains from the previous owner and had to paint the entire house as well. I was 10 weeks pregnant when we moved in so after all that was done we tackled our first daughter's nursery by putting board and batten on the walls. Still one of my favorite rooms!
Do you have any tips for staying tidy & organised?
Unfortunately no. I use baskets for toys but I definitely need better organizational tools in certain areas of my house.
If you could tour any celebrities home, who would it be?
Hmm... that is a tough one! I think I would have to pick Paula Deen because from what I've seen, her home in Savannah is gorgeous! I would also love to see Whoopi Goldberg's house since I've heard her talk about owning a farm in Vermont and I just can't picture that from her.
If you had three wishes, what changes would you make to your home?
Holy cow! Only 3?! First, would LOVE to redo my master bathroom. Second, would love a REAL fireplace. We made a faux fireplace but a real one, in CO, would be lovely! And third, better storage! We have rather large closets but they need an organizational system but really other than the closets in our bedrooms, that is all we have and it totally stinks! Totally didn't pay attention to that when we were walking through to buy the house.
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
I LOVE crafting! I dabble in just about everything but I love to make different wreaths. I also love taking photos, especially up close shots of flowers, and scrapbooking as well.
