Because of the theme of this issue of Snippets and my current obsession with all things geeky, I would love to make pens that look like different geeky loves of mine, like Light Sabers, HP Wands, Staffs like Gandalf, or Sonic Screwdrivers! <3

I would love to use this for stoppers on the end of the knitting needles I made!

It would be great if I could use these to shape my earphones, cause they never want to stay in my ears!

I would like to use it to modify and customize video game controllers and color code cables and to use it to enhance my workout equipment

I would make some stamps and some rings. Oh and I would use it to add things to my altoids tin creations :)

I would use Sugru in making mold casts, repairing some of my craft projects and even substituting clay to make something more durable and lasting.

stamps! all kinds of amazing stamps!

id use them to turnmy glasses to a geeky Hello kitty, Or put some on my camera, to make a cool design. A big one would be to put them on the cords of my headphones, so they dont tear and short out, etc. I love cats, so id probably mold some kind of cat. Maybe make beads for a necklace? OOH! it would also be a good makeshift stand for a digital camera. instead of carrying around your stand. just carry some Sugaru!! Perfect! Because im always forgetting SOMETHING id always have some with me for EVERYTHING!

That red color looks perfect for Halloween lips.
Would be fun to make some beaded curtains of bouncy rubber beads... The cat would be very happy for that.
Someone already said stamps, but I'm pretty sure just about any one of us would try making at least one, so I see no problem in re-stating that idea.
I'm also wondering if it would be durable enough to "sheathe" some of my pointier tools in... they like to poke me in the pockets all the time. Mold it to the points and blades, then use canvas to cover it...?
Of course, models and dollies, but I'm also thinking of a few Halloween decoration ideas that might benefit from this sort of substance. I'm on Halloween high at the moment, obviously.

Totally stamps. Everything I own would be covered in stamps. I would also add some deco to my earbuds. :)

I'll put it on the edge of my dorm desk/bed so my room mate can stop cursing every time she hits her head (and it'll look prettier than taped bubble wrap)....and definitely give some to my high school's science club (they want to start learning about robotics! They're in a pretty low income area, so alumni-like myself-are trying to help them scavenge any materials to start building stuff)...and probably add grips to my dad's slippers so my mom won't panic about him slipping an falling in the kitchen so often and she can get rid of the ugly carpets...

Funnily I knit and my partner makes toy guns... sooo if anything the wondrous and amazing projects my partner could make using this rubber would be astonishing. Creating add ons to guns to look more like game guns, think gears of war or halo. We're both pretty hands on and craft too away from our major passions, so I'm sure we could think of a million different applications for self setting rubber!

Oh this would be awesome! I would use it to... protect that annoying corner of the chest of drawer I regularly hurt myself on; repair the back of my loved old boots (they are worn of.. but I still don't want to get rid of them XD); make a cameo mold; make a rubber stamp to customise my books instead of the signature; add comfort to the handle of my needle pliers; put a small amount of it on the inside back of my shoes (you know, where they rub your ankles...and they make them hurt); protect the bridge of my electric guitar, to have a more comfortable feeling when I play palm mute with my hand laid on it and.....lots of other things! :)

I'll make wheels for my Radio Control Car...

I would use it to make a pliable mold...

I would use them for my Ipod cable as well xD, The white rubber is like peeling off ;(. Also I would use them to make some non slip feet for my 3DS charging dock :P

My dishwasher tray has been broken for months, my saucepan handless burn my hands, I have thrown away so many headphones which I could have fixed. This stuff will change my life!

Colorful jewelry, re-vamping sandal straps, hanging things on the wall, color-coding keys, patch a leaky window, decorate/make glasses more comfy, make table/chair legs scratch-proof, make corners less dangerous for children, colorful grips on toothbrushes/pens/silverware for toddlers, handlebar grips on a bike...this is fun!!!

To put grips on my crochet hooks, heatproof my metalworking tools, and see how it takes to molding, so i can put little face or hand shaped bumpers on cases. Or just roll a robin of it around the edge, and use leather stamps to emboss it....

I'd like to use it to make a new pot handle.

I'd use Sugru in Steampunk Accessory crafting. It looks like a possible alternative for leather accents. It would certainly be fun to experiment with it!

I can use it for fix the tables and chairs in the floor and for repair lockeds and make games for kids

This stuff rocks. I would love some. I can think of 100 things right now that I could fix using this...

i would make some monsters with bouncing arms and tentacles, so they can move when people (especially children) play with them

Anabela S.

I'm up for trying it as the connective tissue in an exploding marbles sculpture I have in mind!

I'd use it to decorate my iPod cover and to fix my bike's handlebars

I would use to it to fix the racks in my dishwasher. They so need it,

How about we patch up the still damaged levees in Louisiana? That'd be some pretty awesome rubber.

I'd use this for making stamps, molds for resin jewelry or for making ear buds stay in my ears.

I want this stuff. Repair anything rubber or silcone things, make jewelry- rings and bangles and pendants. OMG! I need 1/2 ton of sugru.

Seems like endless possibilities with this stuff. Id use it for Editing gaming figurines, making better grip/case for my phone/ipod, a more comfortable nose piece for glasses/sunglasses, and tons of general repairs and stuff

Let's see, I have a list. Pencil grips, paint brush grips, color code keys, fix the cracks in some of the toppers on my knitting needles, to make casts, fill come cracks in my costume armor, sculpt things on my costume armor and etc...

Clown props!

Decorate my bicycle and car tires!

I would love to get my hands on this product and let my imagination run wild!!!!

This would be great for adding marking and adding "grip" to keys.

and fix my brothers lego.

Id love to fix mugs ! I break so many mugs (Im a rather bad clutz) and would love to fix the handles :( superglue is about as much use as a chocolate teapot.

I would love to make a Snorlax doorstop and some clay molds.

Fixing wires, making toys, rubber rainbows and general immaturity :D

A lego wall!!

Crochet hook handles - especially for my 2mm hook which I love but which KILLS my wrists because it's impossible to grip in a comfy way. Also, just sticking things to other things for hell of it. I mean, for totally legitimate reasons...

wow this stuff is awsome!! I'd be VERY tempted to try seeing what it could hold together like in the video, but maybe use stuff that i could store other stuff in then hang if from my ceiling like a big room tidy thing!
Also i'd wanna make some pretty sparkly crochet handles for my hooks :)

OMG, genius to use it for fixing an iPhone cable! Why do they DO THAT?!?! The ones from the dollar store are better than Apple's. I've wanted to try resin casting for a long time now, so I would use it to make molds. I was thinking about buying dental agar, and this Sugru stuff may or may not be better.

I would love to make polymer clay molds with it!

For rubber stamps, obviusly!

I'd love to make jewelry or my own stamps

I would love to use it to make a case for my mobile phone to save it from its many many falls, also i would use it to fix my wonky bed side table which oddly seems to have one leg which is slightly shorter than the rest, i would make presonalised grips for all my sisters chefing utensils and i would no doubt stumble upon countless other little jobs that require a mend or that i could improve with Sugru!

I've been thinking about maybe investing in Sugru, but haven't taken the plunge yet. Here're some of the things I would try it on: I have a favorite knife that needs a handle, a crochet hook that I'd like to add an ergonomic grip to, my water bottle is missing a little piece that makes it leak, my DDs key fob needs a button, custom fit my earphones, knitting needle point protectors, & I love Shae B's idea of reinforcing her headphone cable!!

I would use the sugru for my glasses. The sides of my glasses always break (bad quality) I'm tired of going to the optician every time it's broken.

Make cat and dog tags , Fixing computer wires by making chip tags and no more confusing wire mix-ups. Key tags and name tags

My Crochet Hook needs a grip .

oh the many uses i could think of... repairing shoes and leather jackets, makeing figurines and little pendants, rings, i cant remember what theyre called but the little faces and 3d images that you could use to decorate phone cases and books and cameras... i bet i could baby proof some stuff with that too like my phone and ipod lol

Does it come in clear? If put a dab on the balance point to help keep it balanced on my head. I'd also put done on my socks to make nonstick yoga socks.

I want to hack some broken paint brushes that were favorites, put on my hand-held pencil sharpener for comfort and safety (the metal contains lead!), repair a key on my laptop that is broken off in one corner, and fill in a space on my remote control for the tv that got dropped! And many more things, I am sure!

if i had a few packs of sugru, i would change the grips on so many things that are made for only right handed people because i am left handed >:|...everything is made for right handed people which makes certain things that have handle grips difficult and uncomfortable to use while i attempt to use them with my left hand.
but i would also use some for my phone because i drop it way too much -_-
also make little custom charms that can be used on all different kinds of jewelry :)

Re-vamping old radio knobs.

If i had enough sugru, i would make the whole world from red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet, the same size as the whole universe! I know this might be impossible, i wish i have enough sugru rubber then.

I will definatly buy this when i get a new phone, the one I have now is totally ruined because I'm always dropping it. 'Sugru- For clumsy people'

Corners of the tables/chairs in my little guy's playroom!

This stuff is AMAZING!!! that videos hilarious.
I cant think of a specific thing ...id use it for everything. My headphones need it to cover its exposed wires. lol

That sharp corner I bump into everyday?

a slider on my earbuds to keep them from getting tangled!

sugru looks so cool! I would probably start with jewelry casting molds. :D

I'd love to make toppers for these little rings i make out of paperclips.

I would use it to fix a used and worn out charger for phones.

The possibilities are surely endless. I am always making something, so this could really come in handy. Anything from jewellery, to buttons, to customised stamps and all that's inbetween. You could have some fun with this stuff.

I would use it while crafting...maybe try making a mold for my polymer clay, or making a pendant out of it completely.

This would be great for making food and stuff for my Doll's House.

Make custom ink stamps or printing wedges...perhaps stencil templates, or molds for casting latex wounds, or molds for earbud clippies. I am sure there are TONS of usage I can get out of it, but those were the most important, I think. A mold is the foundation in a lot of my work, or a stencil.

when clicking on video, it states it is private

Would use it to make molds for crafts.

Such a great idea. All thse annoying cables that disappear down the back of the computer desk could be neatly stored away using lego and a little sugru http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnwQXxEbaPw. I would like to see if it's food safe because I want to make bug and beetle chocolate molds and food grade silicone is expensive. The other thing that I think might be a life saver is an alternative to party feet. it would be the perfect size to fit your shoe and be molded to your feet, so they don't kill you by the end a night in 6 inch heels.

It's like a glue gun for Luddites! Join irregularly shaped pieces, especially those plastic ones nothing else will stick to.
Some ideas:
·fix snapped headpieces on earphones
·make a McFly fashion statement on broken glasses
·build vertical planters
·smooth the join on circular knitting needles
·make that missing Lego piece
·repair the electrical cord the hamster chewed through
·replace crappy blue-tack

thicker handle for Crochet hooks? They kill my hands after a while, or maybe my hands are just too big!

My friend's birthday is coming...and she's so girly type and I want to make her a wand using this I would also make couple of bracelets and necklaces because I haven't used fimo and polymer clay in my life!! I live in Nepal so can't afford them and without using them I can't make many crafts!!so I thought that taking a big step to sugru without using fimo is a BIg deal no actually it is a Huge deal so
Pretty pretty please! :D

I would love to try out Sugru for any number of things. It would be great for fixing a couple broken charger wires, molding into pencil toppers... and after reading the comments, I have to admit that stamps would be awesome! I think mostly, though, I would just carry some around with me. It would be like the Duct Tape of all rubber, something I could use to improvise just about anything and everything.

I want to make a dildo. Just a big ol' strap on with this old belt I have. Show my boyfriend what it feels when someone sneaks in the back door.

That's not true at all, but everything I really want to do has already been said. But I got your attention, didn't I?

I would also use it for my sister's earphones and my iPad charger becoz the white rubber kind of thing is peeling off..And for stamps, accesories, and if possible, maybe to make tools for crafts ...beads, for my glasses to make a cool design, keeps going on...;D ooh ooh and to make cutoutandkeep necklace.. I'm a big fan :D

I could make some really interesting jewelry with this!

Wow, I saw the video and this product is AMAZING!! It would help me so much to repair an old broken boot, my broken digital tablet, my computer charger... I just can't stop thinking about the amazing things I could fix with that! Also, I will made my lomo cameras "kid proof" so my clumsy boyfriend could use it without being afraid!
I've been looking at the website, and the idea of protecting my Kindle ports seems just amazing.
Bravo for your incredible product!

jewelry, beads, brick-a-brack

I would make it to make rubber beads for jewelry.

Who won??

Who won.??

Whoa, there's so many things one can do with rubber. I'd probably use it to fix the dings and dents in my phone, since I'm such a klutz and it just keeps falling to the floor :P

I'd probably use it to fix dings and dents in my phone, since I'm a major clutz and I keep dropping it :D
