Any cute napkin, clear ornament, and decoupage glue, and again some patience, gives you an awesome ornament.

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

Get out your nice clean clear glass ornament, and pick a cute napkin.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

figure out how you want the print to be on your ornament. i decided to start with a circle and trim it down from there so i wouldn't have lots of excess napkin to fold under.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

    tim away the excess napkin.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

now very gently peel the layers off of the top printed sheet of the napkin.

some have only one extra layer, some have two.

YOU MUST MAKE SURE ALL THE EXTRA LAYERS ARE PEELED OFF AND ALL YOU HAVE LEFT IS THE THIN PRINTED LAYER

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

    sorry for the crappy pic.

very gently paint your decoupage glue on the ornament, then very carefully lay that section down.

continue till you have glued down the entire napkin.

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

continue till you have glued down the entire napkin.

  7. Step 7

    Step 7

now you have a dull ornament. let it dry over night.

  8. Step 8

    Step 8

then once a day for how ever many coats you decide to put on put a coat of the glue or decoupage stuff on it.

the more coats you put the smoother it will get.

but the more you do, the longer between you should wait to allow them to dry thoroughly.

on this one i used elemer's clue.

  9. Step 9

    Step 9

and after a few coats, you have cool ornaments.

you are limited by your imagination. you can do these for any occassion. baby shower, fourth of july, halloween, easter, birthdays, wedding. and so on and so on and so on.

you may want to coat the interior of the ornament with white paint. the napkins will be translucent and you may not like the look.
