Home made devil's food, layered with blackberry puree, with a chocolate sour cream frosting. I made this cake for my mothers 64th birthday in 2010. My father and my mother used to sing The Beatles "When I'm 64" to each other, he passed away a few months before her birthday. I wanted to make her a special cake to commemorate both her birthday and the memories associated with the song and my father. She loved it, and I had a blast making it!
