A friend requested to make a 85th birthday cake for her father who loves the Yankee Baseball team. She wanted mini pennants for each year the Yankees won the series.
This cake was quite the challenge. I found making fondant navy blue took a lot of food coloring and difficult to achieve a dark blue. Also making fondant on a very hot muggy day was not possible! I had to pull out the air conditioner to cool down and lower the humidity in order to complete the cake.
