X Japan Ear Rings

A simple pair of ear rings made from shrink plastic. As if I need more X Japan stuff XD.
No pictures I'm afraid :(

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

    Draw your design onto shrink plastic. I based mine around the size of a hole from a hole punch. I've found that the hole punched hole shrinks to the perfect size for jewelery findings. For the X there isnt a hole, The ear ring hook is just hooked through the X.

  2. Step 2

    Cut out your designs (and punch the holes if you havent done already XD). I used a pair of very small nail scissors.


  3. Step 3

    Shrink your plastic in the oven at 120 degC. It will curl A LOT but dont worry it'll settle. Once it has settled, take out of the oven (be careful, i burned my arm VERY badly) and leave to cool.

  4. Step 4

    Hook on the ear rings and wear!! I would like to see your versions ^^

nice one!! you've got that X so beautiful cut out, how did you do that? did you use a knife or something or just the siccors?

Just the scissors XD my hand hurt really badly after. I have a small craft knife but it isnt strong enough to cut the plastic, even unshrinken!
