Cute bonnet (made from fabric scraps and the hood of an old hoodie)
My first handmade Lolita bonnet.

All made diy from an old hoodie, leftover fabric scraps, ribbon and lace.

It took me so long to make bcuz I had to hand sew everything. But I loved making it!

This is really easy and fun to make! I used a hood cutoff from an old lightweight hoodie I didn't wear anymore as a starting point and template for my fabrics. I sewed everything on the old hoodie and kept on decorating.

I started by making sure the hoodie fit me the way I wanted. Then I measured and added the fancy velvety texture and design fabric I got from a nice dress skirt. Then I sewed and gathered some ruffles around the edges. I then sewed on the different kinds of lace, I used several different kinds cuz they were available. Last I sewed on a black satin ribbon to tie my bonnet around my head.
