Using an extra piece from a wire storage unit and a couple of other leftover craft supplies, create this fun and functional earring hanger.
I didn't buy anything for this...that's just the way I like it!
I'm calling it version 2 because it was inspired by my original earring hanger, which is similar, but involves paint, glue and more steps!
Fit the plastic canvas inside of the leftover piece of wire storage. If necessary, trim the plastic canvas. Mine fit as a whole piece!
Place zip ties evenly around sides to hold it in place. These are super easy to use and cheap. You can find them at the electronics store, dollar store, craft store or hardware store. Mine are leftovers from a computer project my hubby was working on.
Clip the extra zip tie off with a pair of fingernail clippers. Scissors work, too, but nail clippers make quick work of all those sticky out plastic bits!
Use the earring hanger to determine where best to hang your hooks. You can really use any kind of hooks, but Command Hooks are easy to use and easy to remove - no holes necessary! Use big ones on the top to give you extra room for big earrings or other jewelry.
Place a small hook on the bottom, to hold the earring hanger sturdy. This will keep it from wobbling around, which will in turn keep your earrings from popping out!
